It’s funny how the same voice actor plays the completely dead voice of overwatch, but also the excessively lively voice of GLaDOS.

And TF2's announcer. She's married to Halo 3's / Halo Reach's Overwatch. (And yes, that means she's married to Sniper and half the male citizens of HL2, but everyone already knows that)

I did not know Sword Control was voiced by John P. Lowrie Who also somewhat reminds me of my mother's deceased brother.

I think that the overwatch voice after the citadel was destroyed was actually the advisors directly commanding units, in the bridge scene you can see an advisor being transported to white forest. I imagine that since the advisors in the citadel had to evacuate they resorted to acting like “generals” in an army, directly commanding the ground forces in their vicinity. I would imagine the advisors are extremely intelligent and are capable of large scale strategic planning if needed and that’s probably what the large vehicles transporting them are for in ep2.

Unnerving fact: the advisors are only the equivalent of middle managment or as you said "generals"

How horrific the Combine might be, the Overwatch bursting in and start bopping people that fall the source engine ragdoll way never fails to get a giggle out of me.

The Combine may be a brutal authoritarian regime, but they also like to goof around every so often.

I think the idea of Overwatch being some biomechanical computer system is in line with how the Combine tend to operate, utilizing species to become something that serves the Combine

I like how Entropy Zero 2 portrayed the Combine, it showed that some combine units can be modified enough to start gaining benefits but not enough to lose all of their personality/mind/soul, the MC of Entropy Zero isn't that example but some combine during prologue chapter

Nice video but half life as a both game and lore is not that much serious and as not well written as Metro series.
@exploringlore28569 ай бұрын
I did enjoy the Metro games I've played. But admittedly I am not all that immersed in the lore. But at some point it would be fun to study up on it more and see what video ideas come out of it.
@kacperrembielinski-gaazka19818 ай бұрын
I’d argue that half life’s lore isn’t worse, it’s just not as much expanded on as it could be.
@ikibucukmil8 ай бұрын
@@kacperrembielinski-gaazka1981 nah man, if you look at the character designs, you can see that there are always childish-looking testicle-ish npc's and enemies. and the dialogues amongst the other characters are much worse, that's the almost end of the world and they still keep the hollywood type of fake ass motivational sentences. Metro 2033 to Metro Exodus were literally written by a very succesful author both books and screenwriting in the games, and there is no bullshit ass dialogues. I'm myself an author and really half-life has no seriousness, and compared to Metro hl is nothing.
