This is hilarious. I was just recalling a drill sergeant that I had that would point to one single muscle group everyday before he smoked us, and we would be fine everywhere EXCEPT for the area he pointed to. That area would hurt for a week 🤣

As a Chargers fan, for 42 years,as Money alluded to it, when he spoke on finishing games! Our Chargers are the most amazing team when it comes snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory! We need to beat teams down and then have Herbert bombing 'em! That said, i feel trading back is the best decision bc we have numerous holes to fill , we need depth! We need to FINALLY set the tone not to have it set for us!!! BOLT UP⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ Money and Chris, great show fellas, good back n forth between you guys on draft choices!

It was so much fun when Schottenheimer was here. They would run teams out of the stadium. Even when they'd lose the other team remembered the Chargers and dreaded seeing them on the schedule. You do that running the ball, playing tough defense, building the lines first, you can find Wide Receivers

I have been a Charger fan for 50 years and this year I think is the first time that we are making Right decisions.. Letting go of Williams was a no brainer .and letting go of Allen was hard to see but we have a hard time of holding on to players for emotional reasons..this team can be really good if we stay healthy and bad play calling in the past years doesn't help..of course we are going to be a better team than last few years and we are headed in a good direction. I will support this Team no matter where they are..I watched games in Balboa Stadium..Jack Murphy Stadium..and even in the Soccer field in LA...I'm looking forward to a new season and a slower ball control offense..and low scoring games...We are going to WIN THIS YEAR

What's up guys big Michigan fan here and one thing I can tell you is that Michigan wasn't working with 20 five star players every year on there football team. There were 2 five star guys on the field against Alabama in that rose bowl. The rest were mid tier 4 star and 3 star athletes coming out of highschool going up against Bama or Ohio state who hit you with 15 to 18 five star and high ranking 4 star top 100 recruits that Michigan bullied on the field come 4th quarter they play with the same if not more intensity as the first set of downs in the game! I'm devistated we lost Herbert because that guy is the foundation of that championship we won last year. Luckily his staff stayed behind and he had people he has worked with in his 23 years that he called up to come work with him I'm guessing but alot of his core staff stayed at Michigan but a guy like Herbert has built a network of people he trusts to work with him. The chargers will be in a Superbowl soon Jim Harbaugh will not retire before he wins a Superbowl and players there will love playing for him. Hopefully the ownership stays out of his way because that's the only thing that will destroy championship runs. San Fran is a prime example. They just couldn't bare letting him have full power to Keep that organization going in the right direction. Anyways you guys have all my beloved coaches so although I'm a lions fan first it will be very easy to cheer on the chargers as my second favorite team now. I'm pretty excited about wearing some charger gear. Best uniform in the pros hands down and the sportswear is awesome to. There was great energy at Michigan these past 4 years when Jim got back to his basics and Herb really took over and helped get the culture right. I hope the players there take advantage of what he has to offer because it's priceless

I totally understand Matt’s take on the draft. Chargers have a very unique opportunity. A no. 5 doesn’t come around too often. We filled the biggest need already with Justin Herbert a few years ago. Now the Chargers have to dial in and really see what direction we want to go. I do agree with the idea that good WRs are easier to find compared to Oline and Defensive players. But man… just look at the past 15 years. Super Bowl winners had one thing in common and it stays consistent. Great QB and a a great weapon. Game changers that wreck havoc. In that sense, drafting a guy like Marvin Harrison or Nabers make sense. Just because we pick a WR in the first round doesn’t mean we have the means to stock up on other positions like Oline, corner, dline men. Give Herbert his right wing and let’s play sound football. Offense will always be the best defense.

But that’s like saying Chase is tearing it up but he didn’t win a superbowl because he couldn’t protect Burrow. St Brown and Nacura had as good of seasons as Hill and Chase. They said Bijan was generational when Gibbs was better. But Gibbs looks better because the lions have Sewell. KC, Ravens, 49ers and the Lions all have QBs that can throw but have pro bowl corners/pass rushers and TEs and 2nd-3rd string receivers compared to Chase/JJ. We just had 2 good receivers and Herbert got injured and Rivers got sacked for 17 years.

So Matt is saying the Tackles are more valuable than the top two Wrs and this is first hand how Telesco set us back. It’s not what your preference is sometimes you have to take the best player and we seen time after time he would go Norte dame player or big wrs because it’s a bias in place when he’s scouting these players. Matt like the thought of beating teams up so he value Fuaga over MHJ or Nabers. So Palmer,QJ, maybe a decent Free agent but you don’t have a LT in that backfield so your still taking a chance on hitting on a running back. 5 is the perfect spot if somebody come with a healthy price tag I’m not mad at it but when you look in the Afc the best teams got a QB-and his guy lol if you’re ok with Palmer being Justin guy you can follow Telesco to Las Vegas I don’t want to see another year of Herbert with a star WR he deserves that

MHJ is a great talent. Generational talent, maybe. Super pass catching ability. Yes, he played well against Jesse Minter's defense in college. Over 100 yards and a TD in that last game. Yet Jim Harbaugh & Jesse Minter's team won the game. Ohio State's QB threw at MHJ, and Jesse Minter's guy (and Steve Clinkscale's guy... and Ben Herbert's guy) fought back harder for the ball. Michigan's DB (Rod Moore) fought back harder to get the ball, sealing the game with an INT. MHJ was there, but Michigan's DB went harder to get the ball. Michigan's players didn't break first.

The way Mahomes breaks loose and scrambles into "street football" mode, then pulls a play out of his A$$ that'll burn and beat teams (happens all the time) I'm hoping the Chargers defense will improve in this scenario.

I can understand Money's point, build from the trenches. Thats fine till Joe Alt becomes an Evan Neal because he can't play RT or you trade down draft Fuaga and put him at RT and the interior like the last 2 years caves and doesn't pick up stunts and gets Herbert injured again. Pipkins was left on an island too much last year without any help, the interior has been the problem. You're not drafting a center or guard at 5 to help the main oline problem. Harder for Herbert to escape interior pressure than pressure from the edge. When was the last time the Ravens drafted a good WR? Spend all this late first round draft capital and none got second contracts or were really productive either until we passed over Zay for QJ. Let's not pretend every 1st rounder WR hits either, we saw what happened last year. If you don't take MHJ if he's there and he becomes a HOF then the 2 players you take instead of him better be at least All Pros too standard too.

Dallas in the 90s got production out of a big draft class. What other franchise has ever done what Dallas did? Take Jr or Nabors and drop down after that. There's too much to lose by not getting the generational guys. Get Justin the pro bowl type wr from the jump.

They MIGHT, but why risk another WR bust like Johnston when you can take a sure fire elite WR at 5? You can get tackles in rounds2-6 and free agency. You aren’t getting an elite WR
@Shadowangel5760
@Shadowangel5760 Ай бұрын
Because there's been a Nucua every year right? and its that easy they can just go and pick him up like he's milk at the store? God you people that want to trade back and take a WR later instead of the guaranteed lowest risk prospect are so annoying, this draft is just as deep at OL as it is WR, this team has taken OL in 2 of the last 3 years in the 1st round this team also needs 2 WR not one because they have door dashers on the roster at WR and lineman as TEs that are only there to block. They have 0 weapons and the best chance at getting a generational weapon is sitting there at 5 the highest we will pick in a long time if Harbaugh knows what he's doing and is who we think he is. You take the generational WR this year at 1 get depth and prospects for OL with later picks and next year when we have the 2nd highest salary cap space you fix the line with vets and plug whatever other holes you have while you have a star WR on rookie contract for 4 years.

The power run game doesn’t work in the modern NFL, just ask the Titans how well that’s gone the past 8 years 😂. This isn’t college where you can run 40 times and throw 10 passes and why would you want to with a QB like Herbert?

I am old enough to have Don Coryell in my memory, U don’t use the power run to win the game, U use it to control the game and force the other team to wear their defensive line down by keeping key DL players to remain in the game and reduce substitutions.

Ok, sit Justin Herbert down and ask him what he prefers. Guaranteed if he's winning that's what he chooses. He'll have an O-Line that protects him, on passing plays the ball will be out of his hands quickly for first downs and he'll learn to be the field general in that scheme. HEY, who's got it better than him...and us?

Trade LAC 5 and 2025 1st for AZ's 4 and 27. Trade LAC 4 for MIN 11 and 23. LAC loses their first round pick next year, but walks out with 11, 23, 27 this year in the first round. Get your top prospects at CB/OT/OC/WR with having at least 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.

This whole draft a linemen and beat up teams with the run sounds real good until you think about how run only teams fair in the nfl lol what’s the blue print on stopping the ravens? Make Lamar throw the ball and beat you as a passer.. the titans when they had Henry in his prime? Put em down early and play catch up.. make em beat you through the air.. the browns? Force em to pass 🤦🏼‍♂️ if you fall behind early on you can’t run the ball every down and if you think Palmer as a high caliber number 2 receiver is scarring defenses going up against their best corner and a safety with Johnston who so far can’t catch the ball on the inside and two TEs that specialize in blocking you’re naive.. teams are gonna put up points early and let you run it for short yardage then stack the line on 3rd and know that your receivers can’t beat them 😩 running offensives aren’t new.. this only works when you pair Herbert with someone that can actually threaten the defense into committing resources in the backfield and tbh if I’m a defensive coordinator in the nfl and your number 1 is Palmer and 2 is Johnston with 3 being a gamble on a rookie? I’m laughing you off the field when you realize you can’t beat us down the stretch when it matters most

Smash mouth = Harbaugh, Roman, Minter and B Herbert.. Matt's scenarios make sense. Harbaugh's MO will make JHerbert and Chargers better and better and better. Dont ever expect Harbaugh to change. Receivers are low on list. Would take Bowers over Harrison anyday to fit into Harbaugh's team profile. Minter will maximize impact of defense. Count on it.

I agree with Money. I think we tend to overvalue receivers. Herbert is a great quarterback, give him a running game and a tough defense and he can find open receivers. I think Bowers, OL or CB would be better in the 1st round, there will still be good receivers in the later rounds
@Shadowangel5760

You apparently didn't watch any games from when Mike and Allen were both hurt and Herbert had no one to throw to because they could get any separation. Running game yes he needs one to help so they don't just bring the house every time on 3rd down and that's why he was sacked every time he had to go play super hero at the end of games but saying good Receivers/Weapons are overvalued is just ignorant. Kelce is best TE in football right now and basically a WR, Evans with Brady, Kupp with Stafford, Gronk and Edelman with Brady, DT with Manning in Denver, Seahawks had Bladwin and Harvin, Giants had prime Cruz, Packers had Jennings, Saints Colston, Giants Plaxico should I continue? Any team that has ever done anything in the post season has had a Playmaking #1 WR or Weapon on the team we currently have 0, so yeah that project OL Fuaga who is really raw or Alt who looked like shit at RT during the combine is totally going to help

Imo, if the cardinals get 11 and 23 from the vikings to move down to 5 and still draft Marvin Harrison, why should chargers agree to accept 11 and 27? No, chargers should get 11 and 23. now, if arizona wants say a 3rd or 4th round pick to move down one spot, ok. because, if arizona chose Harrison at 4 the chargers would get 11 and 23 from the vikings. so, why should arizona get harrison AND move up from 27 to 23? if they trade with ANY other team without the chargers giving them pick 5, they aint getting 2 first round picks this year and probably not harrison either. doubtful chrgers would trade down for the 27th pick and whatever else the cardinals offered. so, eether chargrs pick harrison for arizona getting greedy, or trade with someone who either picks a QB or picks harrison. and arizona misss out. jmo
