Ok I already commented but I gotta defend my boy here, I think you're really underestimating the power of comanche defense, it's one of my favorite towers and my go-to midgame option. Both the tier 4 and 5 work really well with damage buffs and are from what I've seen about A tier chimps upgrades, definitely would recommend using them more

I don't think they're the worst, they are just not as good as the top path so I just wonder why have them sometimes lol. but I think I almost made the challenge work with commanche. if i would have tried a couple more times I think it would have worked

@@Dabloon I did some research to try and get an accurate answer for which one is better and why and this is what I found (along with some of my own experience using them): 1. Price: Comanche Commander is in total over 20k cheaper than Apache Prime so it would make sense for it to be a bit weaker. Additionally, the tier 4 specifically is less than half the price of Apache dartship, so you can easily save up for it and use it to carry the midgame, while Apache requires you to find a different midgame carry. 2. Buffability: This is because when you buff a tower's damage or pierce, that buff is multiplied by how many projectiles the tower has and Comanche focuses on having lots of low-damage projectiles. E.g. if Apache had 2 projectiles that deal 3 damage each and Comanche had 4 projectiles that deal 1 damage each, apache would do 6 damage total while Comanche would do 4 damage total. But if you used glue storm which gives +2 damage, Comanche would go up to 12 damage while Apache would only go up to 10. I don't know the exact projectiles and damage of each tower but it's something like that. Also, a specific case worth noting is that Comanche works really well with Geraldo compared to Apache: pickle can make Apache Prime worse while it always makes Comanche better (unless you've already given it enough damage buffs) and sharpening stone not only works better on Comanche but it can't even be used on Apache Prime. 3. Utility: This is simple because Apache has none while Comanche has moab shove. Not only does this make the round 40 moab easy (and by round 50 you can buy Comanche defense) but even with the tier 4 and tier 5 the slow down is just always useful. So yes on its own apache is technically a stronger tower, but in practice Comanche is much more versatile, affordable, and stronger with buffs. I even tried to find a good btd6 tier list and the best one I found which focused on expert chimps put middle and bottom path helis in A tier but top path heli in B tier (if you're interested, just search "Comprehensive tier list for CHIMPS by path, version 40.x" they even have explanations for why each path/hero is in each tier in a Q & A section below the post). One more thing, sorry for making you read an essay😅but I hope this helps understand both towers better, I definitely learned some things doing research for this.
