Literally just watched this episode last night. It was very cute how Donna was so in tune with Harvey. Sad her development in the later seasons was so forced and unearned. Could’ve been great

There's nothing wrong with asking for a promotion. Why does she have to stay a secretary forever? Why doesn't she deserve a promotion after all the years she worked for Harvey? While there was nothing illegal about promoting it, it was perhaps a bit forced. But it was more forced and undeserved than hiring Mike, which was a fraud, or the fact that they paid for Rachel's university, gave her an associate's salary, and allowed her to split her time between school and work? It would have been an injustice not to have given him this promotion.
