Great video man! I just put out my 170,000 mile review video myself on my 15 SP! Few things to note, the transmission is a ZF 8 speed, which is a german transmission. Second, the Scat Pack is only a 392 or 6.4L- everything else is either a R/T or below model. Dodge even dropped the SRT 392 later and you could argue the Scat Pack is a SRT but I could careless either way. Once again, great video- I enjoyed it!

Fantastic video, especially hitting on the point that this is in Fact an R/T Scatpack and not an SRT. Only once was I left "stuck" and that was in my slopped driveway. The plastic interlock piece on the shift locking it until the brake pedal is depressed failed. The manual release wouldn't work because of the tension on the locking pawl from the sloped driveway.

Speaking from experience, the sound your exhaust is making at 18:04 is your driver's side active exhaust module failing. This just happened to my 2020. Easiest way to confirm that this is the issue is to put the car in track mode (disabling the active exhaust function) and seeing if the sound goes away. To fix it, you can either buy a new module or install a bypass like the MFER1 (which is what I did).

The amount of idling and rough driving that car went through. You should check your lifters and your exhaust manifold bolts. 2 of the most common issues for the 5.7. I also urge you to find someone/a shop that will provide some great storytelling about - ANY TIRE YOU POINT AT. There's a difference between giving you ask for, and finding out what you need. The 2022 ones say srt when you shut the car off and say srt powered on the engine doesn’t say r/t on it anywhere whatsoever , even has the new gauge cluster from the srt models but it’s just an r/t very confusing because the srt models minor tweaks

You can’t get a scatpack with a 5.7!! And a scatpack atleast from 2019 and up are considered SRT since they have the srt pages etc… only difference is really the leather seats
@rockhopper012 жыл бұрын
Wrong. Sure, my ‘21 has SRT pages, and marked SRT on the Brembo’s. But it’s an R/T, period. R/T on the sticker, paperwork, VIN, and on the grille.

I'd like to see the dyno after 6 years to see what it's making crank and wheel now. Love the paint and the front end is still looking great not pitted and chipped. Did you have ppf in it?
@LifeatSpeed2 жыл бұрын
The paint on the front is still in great shape, despite no ppf being installed. That's a good idea about the dyno. I might need to do that. I can tell you it feels to pull just as strong now as it did 6 years ago.

Would love to ask you some questions if you would be so kind as to answer. In the 155,000 miles of ownership what problems have you encountered? I know you’ve heard of the infamous Hemi Tic and there are several theories and I can buy into the validity of all the theories. However, my theory is maybe not running better grades of oil and not keeping it changed when it is supposed to be changed. I ask this because I have a 2018 392 Scatpack Charger that is within 5,000 miles of the warranty running out (55,000) and I am seriously thinking about turning the “Themostat” up considerably. An aggressive cam, intake, throttle body, long tube headers, catless midpipe, a seriously aggressive tune, etc. Most people who modify these engines opt to do away with the MDS when doing a cam swap. I don’t know that I necessarily agree with that. I mean it has worked flawlessly for 55,000 miles so why fix it if it’s not broken? Now if it is a design flaw that is a ticking time bomb I could see preventing that from happening but I’m not convinced that this is the iron clad reason where the Hemi tic comes from because there are manual Challengers that have experience cam/lifter failure and manual transmission cars do not have MDS so theory busted. Your thoughts and problems experienced please. Thank you in advance Steven
@LifeatSpeed Жыл бұрын
Ours hasn't experienced any issues outside of what I laid out in the video. It's been rock solid up to this point (now has 167k miles on it). As far as the "tick" if it is in fact in the lifters, than doing a cam swap should solve that problem if you replace the lifters at that time (I definitely recommend new lifters with a new cam). If the "tick" is in the fuel injectors as some have suggested, depending on how aggressive you go on your upgrades, replacing the injectors with new larger ones should solve that problem as well. Hope this helps and good luck with the upgrades!
