Hollywood Studios so needed an expansion. I'm sure there are Star Wars fans out there really excited for Galaxies Edge. I will go and see it when i next visit but i'm more of a Toy Story fan.

yes the original ones. Shocking isn't it. Same as James Bond or Fast & Furious. I'm afraid i don't agree with some of what you have said. If they built James Bond World i would not have a clue what the scenery was or the characters. I don't know some of the scenery they are building at Galaxies Edge and i only know the characters from the 3 original movies. I appreciate the architecture but as i previously mentioned as I've seen all the Toy Story films i can point out the things from the film and appreciate them more.

When Star Wars land opens it will become one of the most popular parks. I LOVE animal kingdom and when I heard about Pandora I was so happy. Don't think the park has gotten super crowded over there though. I'm looking forward to the ratatouille and guardians of the galaxy ride.

I like the addition of Toy Story Land, but I'm sorry it is an absolute crime to have lines exposed to the sun in Orlando. It is unbearably hot right now even in the shade, and you have guests baking in the sun? Oh hell no. There's no excuse.

gissneric Yeah no doubt about that...I wouldn’t go near this ride without a FastPass, but for example they could have put a large garden trellis over the outdoor queue for shade and fit the backyard theme. Then you still have the atmosphere of the coaster going around you but not totally exposed to the sun.

Can’t wait for winter and re visit Toy Story land , Disney sent me an online questionnaire about the land and a lot of questions were about heat and the queues so I’m sure they will fix it

It's a backyard where you are supposed to be a toy. There would have been a million ways to create shade without breaking that illusion. How about a giant folding chair? Of course the simplest would have been just to build an indoor restaurant and a gift shop (al's toy barn). You could have entered the restaurant through the lunchbox and then make it so you couldn't see how much bigger it is inside from outside in the land. Al's Toy Barn Technically doesn't work with it being Andy's yard, but no one would have cared because it's so iconic from the movies. I love that disney commits fully to theming, but it shouldn't come before guest safety. I'm cringing thinking of all the small children who will likely get sunburn or heat stroke in the name of theming. (Well, you say it's theming, I say it's $$ but either way).

Yeah, I kinda see what you mean, I think. There is going to be one day when Disney is going to be so big that kids will see it differently, than we did. There is this competition with the other parks that is making Disney seem watered down. I wish they would just expand on their own IP, make it grow, create a much bigger interest. I just feel that the brand is being broadened, to be point that Disney will have to change its name, if that happens, I know I have to live in a secluded island. 😂

Interesting how all of the crowds have shifted in the Year since I've been to Disney Hollywood Studios. There was a 70 min wait in May 2017 for Star Tours, and tower of terror/rock N Rollercoaster always had 90 minute waits. And now everyone's on to my secret of refreshing the fast pass screen constantly. That's how I really racked up the ride count on my last trip!

We were actually there on the same day. The next day we had fast passes for slinky dog. The standby wait time was 115 minutes and with our fast passes we entered the line, did the ride and were off it in about 25 minutes. So happy we had fast passes for it.

As a child of the 80's who grew up with Star Wars play sets and action figures, it almost kind of unintentionally works to be able to see the Star Wars ships from Toy Story land. It kind of fits the scale of the toys. Wonder if that was on purpose. Hadn't noticed that before until I saw it from that angle.

I thoroughly enjoyed Toy Story Land. We were there 2 weeks ago and were able to score a Fastpass for Slinky Dog. My one complaint was how hot it felt. There was very little shade and no in-land store to duck into and try to cool off.

Definitely interested in how crowd levels around the rest of the park change after a new land opens! I’m going to be there 6 or 7 weeks after SWGE opens in Orlando and I’m pretty nervous about the crowds at Studios. I personally (unpopular opinion!) have no interest in Star Wars and neither does my family so I’m really hoping the wait times in the rest of the park will be lower. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi Tim I have been watching you for several years I have not been to toy story land but I hear everyone complaining about there’s no shade I had several ideas to pitch to imagineers but no such luck getting a hold of anyone, maybe you can mention a few ideas I have I’m sure other people have the same ideas, how about two army men dropping in with parachutes open ,the parachute could act like a canopy in certain areas, or how about a paper airplane like you used to make in school maybe yellow paper -lined -fold it up -suspended in air covering an area for shade, how about a large pencil with a composition book spinning on top large enough to cover an area with shade, I would love to hear from you or at least announce it in one of your videos I think it would fit the theme very well.
