I traveled to Switzerland and met one of Zurich's biggest black real estate investors. In this episode, he told me how he left Nigeria, moved to Switzerland and now has a real estate portfolio of over 110 million dollars.

This man is absolutely right. I came to Switzerland with my family 20 years ago. As children, we had to put in 200% effort in school. But after 20 years, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from a university recognized in Switzerland and now i am the managing director of a small company. I can imagine that he would be a good mentor. Greetings from Zurich.

Well explain thank you for bringing up this video Financial education is indeed required for more than 80% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. The value of the US🇺🇸dollar is declining due to inflation, but it is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. I'm worried that rising inflation will cause my 550k in my retirement funds to lose value, But with the help of Mrs Maria I hit 220k this week from my investment of 45k, I am truly grateful for all the knowledge and nuggets you have given me over the past few months.

As a Swiss person: no bank will give you a loan to buy property when you dont have enough for the down payment and a reliable income every month. Very weird how nobody even questions this. If it would be so easy everyone would be owning multiple houses. A lot more companies would be buying everything off the market that is available and there would be nothing left to buy. His own home does NOT look like swiss standards at all. You can rent a super modern flat for like 3k that is more prestige than where he lives. How does that make sense. Maybe im just too swiss and i dont know how people from other countries live and think what switzerland is like. He sounds like he has to lie about everything and making it bigger than it really is. Someone commented hes probably a real estate agent - and that makes sense. He would have house keys when its his job😂 to flex with apartments that belong to the company he works for will not make him popular if they find out haha.
@lolknight4364
@lolknight4364 9 күн бұрын
From what I understood, he says he puts another appartment he owns as a guarantee to the bank. Meaning the bank knows that if there is a problem with the new appartment, they can seize the other one in order to refund themselves.

@meshaswai7754
@meshaswai7754 7 күн бұрын
@@AshChildOfGod ....This isn't about jealousy. I’m from Africa, have lived many years in Switzerland, and I'm very familiar with the Swiss housing market. This documentary is highly inaccurate. The claim about funding those houses with the amounts mentioned doesn’t add up. His initial capital versus mortgage is less than 15%, but Swiss law typically requires 25-30%. He also claimed to have bought a house in an affluent neighborhood with a 30%+ discount, which seems unlikely unless the house was in poor condition or the seller was bankrupt-both improbable in such a market. The documentary's caption keeps shifting. It originally stated a net worth of USD 100 million, but now it's up to USD 200 million, perhaps realizing that USD 100 million doesn’t go far in Switzerland. The author usually creates quality content, but in this case, it feels like he was "bought" to promote this individual-likely someone running a property investment company backed by wealthy Nigerians, using the video to showcase their investments.

It’s interesting to think that you have suspicion that he is fraudulent, but he isn’t. He isnt the only one who has gotten rich off of life changing opportunities. There was a similar with a man who posted on yt telling people to invest in bitcoin when it was just one dollar and he saw it as the future. So don’t get me wrong he may have or may have not been involved in suspicious activities, but from what I can tell, true opportunity like acquiring an estate of at a steal which no one wants is very true and very possible and it happens even in the best of economies and must educated. So don’t come here thinking you’re a smart ass trying to prove him wrong, just say you respect the opportunity he took. And clearly he expressed himself clear as day on how he capitalized on the banking system. And that is very true because an economist myself we study with finance and we know equity can be used as a form of payments or assets, including tax free loans we all know about, which can be used to operate. So if you ask me, I think he is legit.

The guy is right I’ve traveled all over Switzerland and been there many times , it is the richest and most developed country in the world and it has the worlds highest standard of living. The country is so naturally beautiful and postcard perfect it feels like you are in paradise with shimmering lakes, in the middle of snow capped mountains, postcard perfect villages. I went on a day trip on the golden route train and it is breathtakingly stunning. I never experienced any racism in Switzerland as a black person. People were friendly towards me and Swiss people are reserved generally, if you are not Swiss and cannot speak Swiss German (which is different to standard German the way Itsekiri is different to standard Yoruba) in the German part of the country you will never be fully integrated into their society whether you are black, brown, yellow or white. It’s how they protect themselves. This guy is very fortunate to have made his fortune there because very few foreigners can come in and start a business there without having been successful elsewhere and without bringing in investment capital. So I’m amazed. It is easier in America or UK or even Germany but Switzerland is hard, being a small country of under 10 million people even buying land and property is very hard and extremely expensive even for the local people. Their salaries are very high but so is the cost of living. Most people rent their homes and cost of food and clothes is very high. This is because it’s a small country so businesses have to charge more for their goods and services to make a profit

@@Visionary_of_Love very true. It's not the easiest country to migrate to and to settle in unless you're wealthy enough and have enough funds to satisfy the aurhorities. Even the local geopolitical system adds to the complex nature of the country as the 22 swiss Cantons have their own laws and behave like semi autonomous countries with different taxation laws, in some Cantons women could not vote, also local Swiss people have to vote for for foreigners applying to be citizens to become a citizen and you're a citizen of the canton first. People often have to chose carefully before relocate from one part of Switzerland to the other because of the different laws some of which might place a restriction or remove certain advantages that a person enjoys in their current canton of abode such as paying more taxes or being restricted from doing business. In Cantons like Geneva which has a strict calvinist Protestant Christian tradition there are restrictions on operating business on Sunday. On the other many of Genevas businesses are staffed by French and Swiss citizens who live across the border in France because the cost of living is far lower in neighbouring France cheaper so they travel into work in Geneva in the daytime and ferry back across lake Geneva to their homes in France.

He said he was making 1,200 euros per day from 2 companies (1,200 x 2) for 5 years. In Germany, the average work year typically consists of around 250 to 260 working days. This estimate is based on: • 52 weeks per year, which equals 260 weekdays (Monday to Friday). • Subtracting public holidays (which vary by region but usually range from 9 to 13 days) and vacation days (on average 20 to 30 days per year, as per German labor laws). So, depending on the region and vacation, the number of actual working days in a year will fall within that range. 260 days (without sickness or vacation) x 2400 euros x 5yrs would be 3.1m euro gross

Look at where he lives and the state of it, I'm not worth anywhere near the ridiculous number he claimed to be worth around $81,000,000 and my place is 10x better than that, my home office doesn't look like it's in my mothers basement with nonsense all over the floor. Anyone who believes this guy is naive and gullible. I have friends worth north of £50,000,000 and one worth over £300,000,000 that have private equity firms, property development, VC etc... This guy doesn't fit the profile at all. His cheap watch that's trying to deceive people, what serious person worth 81 million wears an aftermarket AP worth nothing? Let's be real. Anyone that's been around money knows what money actually looks like and can tell when someone is being deceitful.

@@mrnaija101 Not sure why my comment was deleted but, I was saying, the reason is because this guy is a fraud. Nothing he says makes sense nor does his words match his reality. First thing he said is, he's worth at least 81 million, then we see his house and home office that looks like it's in his mothers basement. He instantly lies and says the mirror is real gold, my guest room is bigger than his living room and I live in London. I have friends that own private equity firms and private investment funds that are worth 8 to mid 9 figures and this guy doesn't fit the profile. And even the ones that I know that have sold billions of real estate over 15-20yrs, their net worth is NO WHERE near 81 million. He clearly doesn't understand the real estate game. He basically said he started in around 2013, that's around 10yrs, real estate isn't something that takes you from 0 to almost 100 million in 10yrs especially as a realtor. The extremely small number of people that achieve that net worth in real estate have been in it for decadeS with an "s" and own their own agency or they're property developers not common realtors selling small properties/listings. The only people that believe this guys story are people that don't know money. Look at his cheap aftermarket AP watch that's worth nothing but he claims to be worth 81 million. This guy is a pathological liar and I can't stand these type of people because they're the ones that sell dreams to others back in Nigeria that Europe and the US is this is heavenly place where as soon as you land money starts falling out of the sky and it puts unnecessary pressure on the younger guys to try and achieve unrealistic things in an unrealitic timeframe. As a result so many of the younger guys my age go into terrible things. This guy has no headquarters, there's nothing about him online, he said he's worth 81 million off of real estate so he would've had to sell at least 5+ billion, nobody sells that much in 10 YEARS while staying off the radar in a 1st world country. For reference, one of the biggest realtors in America that has sold record breaking buildings is Ryan Serhant, he's sold about 8B over the course of decades. He's one of the most known realtors in the world. This guy is claiming to have sold over 5B essentially and nobody knows him with his cheap aftermarket watch😂

@@mrnaija101 I have lived in Zurich for over 15 years and also never heard of him. This is possible because Switzerland generally is a quiet nation. Your neighbor might be a multimillionaire, and you may never know. There may be some kind of exaggeration in his story, though.
