I’m in Miami and there’s not a church in my area that worships like this. Many churches don’t allow God to move and they have three or four songs programmed to sing then the message, my soul longs to be in a church where they just let the Holy Spirit move freely.

When God is jealous for us it’s like a husband being jealous or passionate for his wife when he wants her attention but she’s not paying attention or she’s cheating w/ another lover. God is jealous for our attention and time and life when we serve other idols he wants us for himself n to himself because he created us. I hope that makes sense :)). James 4:5 AMP Or do you suppose that the Scripture is speaking to no purpose that says, The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love?

I understand how you feel brother, I was the same until I read John 12:13 "They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” " They waved them as an act of worship to him. Also something that helped me understand flags and dancing is the question I asked myself, "Do you think God only takes 1 form of art (music and sound) as worship?" No certainly Not! He loves all types of worship Romans 12:1 we are a living sacrifice, anything we do for him can be an act of worship if our hearts are in the right place. The people holding open the door at church is an act of worship, The city planner building churches is a form of worship, The dancing is an act of gratitude to Jesus for salvation, The flags are for him too. What if you just don't have a musical gift but you still want to give Jesus something. That can be a way to give yourself over and express your worship its not just singing or playing an instrument, you can dance/use flags for Jesus. God bless you brother, I pray this all makes sense. I'm not the wisest or smartest, hope everything I said edifies you :)

And if the way someone sings, or moves is distracting idk what God you worship that gets so little of your attention but you need to repent my brother I love you and tell you this with love becwuse I was in the same shoes as you. You don’t know the heart other people are worshipping with. Now I understand when someone is sinning or distracting you in that way let’s say someone is just cussing you out in your ear then yes rebuke that person. But this is all worship for Him and meant to exalt Jesus not for you. Like praying in tongues it says in Corinthians 14 when I pray in a tongue I pray to God so people don’t have to understand because ultimately it’s not meant for you. It’s for God so they’re not even talking to you to begin with. But study to show yourself approved, see why you believe the things you do and decide for yourself is it helping or hindering my relationship with God. Be blessed in Jesus name my brother

Its the original lyric and part of the dedication to steven, John mark mcmillans friend who passed away, without whom this song would not exist. I understand why it makes people uncomfortable, but god doesn't want us to dwell on such things, the whole song is celebrating the love of god, a father who is willing to love the messy and the gross things despite what happens to us in life.
