I've turned $18K into about $10K in the space of a few months lol. Piled every dollar into one low cap "gem", when the price pumped I bought more because that seemed logical to me. And yeah now I've lost many thousands. I've learnt that the moment something pumps you should immediately sell the whole lot because 9 times out of 10 it won't pump for another year or two, if it ever does again lol. If something pumps, remove at least some risk if not all. Do not put more risk on. It all works the opposite to what natural instincts tell you. When everything is disaster, buy up big whatever you can. As soon as things look really good, sell everything and wait for another disastrous slump.

I assume he is American and with taxes taken into account it would be an interesting comparison to see the net take away compared to if he held some of his original eth positions and only pay long term CGT at 20%.
