I like that the audio alerts speak in clear language, rather than just another alert tone.

As a pilot of 33 years with significant high frequency hearing loss, I really look forward to trying this headset out. Plus the CO detection is a brilliant idea!

Looks like a awesome feature to have , keeping our hearing we all know is important to us. Thanks Lightspeed

As someone coming from the audio industry to aviation, I've found that headsets lacked customization for the pilot. Now this is a game changing product! You can get custom EQ for your headset and greater intelligibility of audio transmissions. I can't wait until I am able to pick one of these up myself and try it out.

This is really cool and helpful - especially for "older" pilots !!! 👍👍 Would love to have one😀

This is just a great new feature in the Delta Zulu! It will greatly help all level of pilots to ensure clear understanding of ATC communications.

I too have abused my hearing over the years, especially working on a sub and I'm fairly young. I have missed things from ATC and feel stupid so I generally avoid flight following. With this I can get my confidence in communication back and be able to be a safer pilot

I look forward to hearing the difference between the Delta Zulu and my sierra & Zulu 2.

This is a brilliant idea. I have a couple of Zulu 2 headsets (currently being upgraded to Z3), but I plan to get a Delta Zulu for me and use the others for pax, mainly because of this one feature.

Can yall make a video on how it records audio. I would like to know more about this feature

Even without hearing loss it would be nice to customize how radio traffic sounds in the cockpit.

I downloaded the iOS app. It only took a few minutes to set up my hearing profile. After noise cancellation, this is probably the best thing you can do to improve you communication clarity.@

So glad you are getting the benefit of the HearingEQity feature!
@BurkaLifter2 жыл бұрын
So, the higher frequencies that you have lost the ability to hear, are in some way "added" in a modified manner and delivered to your ear in a frequency that your ear still can hear ?
@LightspeedAviation2 жыл бұрын
Yes. The HearingEQity feature will allow for compensation to frequencies that you struggle to hear.
@BurkaLifter2 жыл бұрын
Thanks you for confirming that. I will be buying one, been a lightspeed user in fire aviation for 13 years, and started before that with the "Princess Leah" 30-3G's My Bose co-workers are going to be jealouse.

I just got the headset and it is impossible to pair to Bluetooth. I have not been able to figure out how. But otherwise it's a nice headset and it has a C02 sensor. So you can must forget about the Bluetooth feature as that is just a bunch of smoking mirrors along with that EQ sound feature that does not work as it's not possible to pair via Bluetooth. I guess there is a cable you can purchase that will hook to your phone and the headphone so that you can set-up that EQ application. The instructions on how to use the EQ application and pair the headphones are really poor.

Bluetooth will never match an analog hard connected quality, and is a very flaky technology. Take it from a network engineer.
@kimberlywentworth91602 жыл бұрын
Agree, Bluetooth is a total joke and it kills the sound quality. This is why we plug our aviation headphones into the panel. Yes, Bluetooth is very flaky technology. I am also an engineer. PS, I was unable to pair the Bluetooth and it has a very limited frequency range and bandwidth. However, I think we can purchase a cable from Lightspeed to hook up the headphones to the phone to setup the EQ.
