Six students in India collapsed in a single day in May 2024 and days later, dozens of poll workers died from heat-related illnesses during the nation’s general elections. Temperatures hit a scorching 50 degrees Celsius (122°F) in the Indian capital New Delhi. Elsewhere in Asia, record highs were reported in Manila, Bangkok and the eastern Chinese city of Jinan. Accident and emergency doctors have warned about symptoms of heatstroke and heat exhaustion that vulnerable people should watch for as heatwaves persist around the region. In this video, the Post looks at the devastating and increasingly deadly impact of extreme heatwaves sweeping across Asia.

Absolutely, and it’s only going to get worse every year. Here in Central Mexico, it was unbearable. Had several days of rain and low temps but high humidity continues; very uncomfortable outside.

@@Rudra-rf5cn In South Asia, some countries' weather is absolutely brutal. I thought because it peaks 40 degrees occasionally here in Egypt North Africa was bad, then I started looking at Gulf countries' weather and other parts in Asia which was shocking. 40+ degrees is the normal there all summer, that's crazy.

In alot of places old infrastructure is better cos it creates a cross breeze affect in homes which cools down the house. It's better than glass and steel buildings that run air cons 24/7
