I'm 66 and I remember watching at Motor City drag way . the Little Red Wagon do a wheelie all the way A 1/4 mile down the strip , and when he had to stop , the driver said he could have gone into the corn field at the end of the track . Good times and different attitudes ! I/m Blessed to have lived it .

2:05 Some kind of custom injection system on that Olds?!? Looks pretty much like a Top-Fuel injection system, but without the supercharger. Barrel valve, bird catcher that actually IS the throttle valve, and mechanical injectors. 👌 Looks sweet! 👍

Costs WAY too much money to build a car from just a pile of metal. A former road car is the most economical way to build a drag car. Many guys use will use a classic car that is too far gone to restore it to a show car, and this is what you see here. It's a much better alternative than just letting a classic car sit there, rot away, and return to the earth. Unfortunately, a guy can't save em all... 🤷 😟

Those were leverage wheelstanders. Engines mounted high in the back. V-drives. These are POWER wheelies. Engines where they belong. Done with horsepower, torque, and rear suspension settings Way more impressive than a leverage style wheelstander (that a couple normal guys can lift the front off the ground.)
