Freezing cold temperatures and very heavy frost keep up busy trying to survive in this harsh environment despite the potential life threatening hazards. Off grid Winter camping in a canvas tent requires teamwork as well as cold weather survival training and SAS survival skills. Bushcraft cooking and bushcraft camping is always challenging when living off-grid in the wilderness. Maintenance and upkeep on our equipment is a priority to keep the winter camp running smoothly. Surviving in frigid cold temperatures down to -40°C is completely doable as long as you follow these basic tips on how to set up a hot tent for winter camping with an internal frame. Hi.. I enjoy watching your channel but I have 1 well alot of questions but 1 in particular ..that is your tent seems so thin. how do u hold in the heat and how much wood do you go through each day.. Thank you

The tent walls do not in themselves hold any heat, that is they have no ‘thermal mass’ . The tent is a very small space it holds in the air that is warmed by the stove. And they keep a hot fire in the stove all the time, that warms the surrounding air. Just as soon as the stove cools off then the tent cools off too!

I love watching you guys cook in the cast iron. I have a cast iron kitchen here at home. Except for my wok lol. Those cast iron woks just look so heavy and I'm newly handicapped so I'm sticking with my milled steel one for now. But everything else I use is cast iron. I just love how it conjures the nostalgia of my grandmothers kitchen when I use it. And a pot roast in the Dutch oven is to die for!🙂🙂

Sir: I guess it is time for interior improvement similar to Jay Legere's tent. Not sure if you can, but I would build from within floor to ceiling. Thus making camping less stressful and protecting yourself better from the frigid temperatures by adding insulation as well!!!

I'm so fascinated with ppl who can tolerate.. even thrive in and enjoy winter. I'm a life long iowan. I've lived through many harsh winters and hated every minute of it bc i love being outside. But i just can't stand the cold, snowy, silent, bare, deadly winter. It's about 65 F in here rn and i turned on my heater bc watching these videos made me cold 😆

Well not only you're a good cook but also the old chin stove that you got was the basic model and you really do good on it I'm surprised that you can turn around and do as much as you can even though it is a one burner stove
