I'm a form 3 student. Stumbled upon this while doing my research for university and life after school. I watched your acceptance video first and I started tearing because that right there is my dream and it just impeccable to see a Kenyan girl like my self bag such accredited schools. My grades are shaking a little in form 3 but people like yourself push me to just keep grinding honestly. Everyone thinks I'm biting more than I can swallow when I aim for Ivy league but honestly you have given me the strength to walk around and say next year I'm writing my Ivy league applications without any embarrassment at all!

I am a student is South Africa and I too am in the middle class of income. I am a grade 10 student as of next year and I’ve been looking at ways to make my application stronger for when I do apply. So I'm an international student from Nigeria, I graduated school 2018, I'm just applying to colleges(2021). I've submitted my Duke ED application. When asked about my gap year, I wrote about having taking utme (jamb) thrice, started a math tutorial for kids to help me pay for the exam, my GPA over 100 is 81.9/100. Do you think the gap year stuff will affect me? I'm applying to Harvard too. I got a 1470 on the Sat Maths:780 EBRW: 690

The gap year stuff is mainly so that they know you did something impactful with that time you took off- which sounds like you did. Your stats are great, work on essays, ec's etc and go ahead! All the best!
