Your embeds are great! I have tried Sorcery Soap Dough, and I've made my own, and I struggle getting it smooth with both. Soap dough might just not be my forte, but there's still things I want to try with it. This turned out great! I bet it smells wonderful. 😍

FIRST OF ALL!!! Beautiful job! Secondly, I have this tall skinny triple soap mold but was wondering, is the width of the blue liner exactly 7.5" inside? Using Parchment Paper it's exactly 7.5" wide and gives me exactly 3 2.5x 10" loaves. I currently have my loaf splitter set to 2.5 but the next lowest setting would be 2". Any help would be appreciated.

All those wonderful additives look great! I see you did not freeze your goat milk. May I inquire on how to avoid scorching the Milk not using the freeze method? Thank you.
@CheekyGoatSoapery4 жыл бұрын
Raquel Boni I don’t use the freeze method for adding in my milk. I add it in as shown in all my soaps, and it works for me. I only have scorching when I try and add warm milk to straight lye.
@muslimcosmetics3 жыл бұрын
hey how do you know how much lye to use for the liquids? does the lye change depending on if it has milk or juice?
@CheekyGoatSoapery2 жыл бұрын
No, I use the juice and milk in replacement of water. So the lye would only change if I changed the base size of the oils.

i am more or less watching this to see how to add juice into the soap i make at home. I am thinking of making soap using watermelon juice as I understand it is good for treating acne and whitening skin. I am looking to create soaps that are for those who want to whiten their skin using natural ingredients which are found locally. As I am living in Cambodia i can get fresh mangos, watermelon, bananas, cocoanuts and other fruits quite inexpensively. I want to create soaps for as cheap as possible while using either all natural ingredients or ingredients i create myself.

Beautiful work, I love all your videos! I have a couple of questions: I just got the same mold and wondering, what is the total amount of soap this mold holds (as on the soapcalc sheet)? I calculated it, but just want to confirm in case I’m wrong. Also, what is your lye to liquid ratio (the lye concentration)? and do you gel your soap? I make goat milk soap too, and I don’t gel normally in single loaf mold, but I’m wondering, what would work best in this big one. Thank you very much in advance! 🌷
@CheekyGoatSoapery4 жыл бұрын
Kate K hi!! Erm. I just go by what they told me on WSH’s website, and manipulate the oils in soap calc to make a Total weight of 25 lbs of soap. I usually do a 28% lye to liquid, and yes, Everything is forced gel. I CPOP everything and it goes in my oven.
@Katya10864 жыл бұрын
Cheeky Goat Soapery Thank you very much! This particular mold on their website is listed as 11lb soap capacity 🤔

What percentage of orange juice can be added for 800g of soap ?
@CheekyGoatSoapery Жыл бұрын
Oh I hate maths. It depends on the rest of your recipe- but look at the liquid portion of your lye:water ratio. You can do up to a 100% substitution of Orange Juice to water- but I usually go with 50%z

Me, I'm cheap enough, I'd be saving all that pulp,along with the peels, a little at a time, even, in a container in the freezer until I had "enough" then making orange bread(or muffins) with it! I learned from my grandmother...who grew up in a large family during the depression era...Everything had at LEAST two uses before hitting either the compost bin, or the pig/chicken trough! Never let a DROP of anything remotely nutritious go to waste! All bones were saved and simmered for broth, along with all peelings, after all, the simmering will sterilize them and the broth itself right? Who cares if your brother's fingers were on them? (Usually followed by a slap to the back of your head if you complained).
@CheekyGoatSoapery4 жыл бұрын
I love that idea! I have to watch myself for being a bit of a supply hoarder, so many things become compost or treats for the goats- as otherwise I tend to hoard all sorts of odd things.
