How I Apply Heat with a Different Technique to Repair Matted Crinkled Wigs on Heat Friendly or Synthetic!
Please accept full responsibility for your own actions if you wish to try any of my suggestions😉
From teetering on the edge of the dumpster to beautifully smooth better than new 😁😁 Belle Tress Dalgona 16, in Brown Sugar Sweet Cream.
How I Use a flat iron and spray water instead of a steamer, for a Wet Heat Treatment, when I am dealing with a wig that most people would consider unrepairable...
Not me!!! Yes, I'm crazy when everyone thinks it's easier to buy a new piece! And yes, it definitely is easier but not everybody has the funds to purchase a new piece every time they get these matted, tangled crinkles.
Please remember, just because this is how I do this does not mean it is the only way to do it. We all have our own way of doing things. This is just how I do it.😉
Always test your tools on an inconspicuous place as not all tools are created equally even if the temperature setting says they are😬 test underneath or even on an old Wig.
This is A HEAT FRIENDLY WIG! I used this Lange LeRev (i'm sorry it has been discontinued😢) @ 320°F
And I am keeping my eye open to see if there's any replacements that might work as nice.
So I want to show you how you can fix them instead of purchasing a new one each and every time.
This is a long tedious process, (I spent 2 1/2 hours) but your Wigs can look & feel absolutely amazing if you don't always wish to purchase a new one!
Yes, this video is similar to others. I've done, and this one is quite long in order to see every single step in order to follow it.
Well, not exactly every single step because 2 1/2 hours would be too long…………

Wonderful video can't wait to see the curling process that's what most of us are concerned about putting the curls back in. Do you have your hands covered to protect from heat? Wondering how hot the fibres get? 💖

No, my hands are not covered to protect from heat. I'm just cold in my house and I try to cover my age spots.🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for this fabulous video. Is the Windex to remove product? Have you had any experience with fixing Ellen Wille regular synthetic fibers?
@WigsGlam
@WigsGlam 10 ай бұрын
Thank you❤ yes, the Windex is to remove either products that you've used or even pollution, makeup or sunscreen. And no I have not fixed any Ellen Willie regular synthetic just heat friendly Ellen Willie.. you would basically use the same procedure but just start really low with your hot tool like maybe 160° and then you just go up in increments until you get the "fix"that you're looking for. Always best to start low and then just move up if you need to with your temperature.

Does it really make a difference to use a Titanium curling iron rather than a Ceramic one? I tried this and I'm not sure it didn't work because I have a Ceramic curling iron, or if I watied too long to try to fix the crunchiness. yoiur detailed instructions gave me the courage to try this.

Well, I can honestly say I wasn't sure what the difference was between the two🙃 but a professional friend explained to me that the titanium helps get course hair, straighter and shinier…… Sometimes it feels to me like my titanium Lange LeRev is like driving a luxury car, but my ceramic is more like my beat around town Honda🤣 don't get me wrong, I love my Honda! But perhaps they can both do the same thing it's just not as luxurious of a ride… and even if you waited too long to fix the crunchiness, it can still be fixed. You just need to add water to make a steam effect and I had one the other day. I actually had to take it up to 360° on a heat friendly Wig, but just practice slowly a little bit at a time. And let me know if you have more questions. Thank you for watching.❤️

Can you use a hot comb instead of a flat iron to straighten a heat friendly wig in this manner
@WigsGlam
@WigsGlam 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching❤ yes technically you could use a hot comb, however..... it might jam up where the crinkles are tangled and sit in one place too long. And if that were to happen, it could singe the Hair. By using the flat iron over the top of the crinkles and tangles, helps to heat up the hair in order to smooth it out.❤️
