OMG this is a game changer! One thing you could add to the script is an automatic 4 or 8bar loop at the end of each track just in case the song runs out. But what you have already is totally amazing!!!!!

Thanks for the video! As a beginner DJ and not knowing everything yet, I wonder why there is no website/way where DJ can share their Cue Points with each other. I know it's the "work" of the DJ but honestly, they are most of the time the same as you have pointed out. We can be free to remap what we don't like after, no need to stick to what was shared with others. The investigations you did show the same trend and the solution is going in that direction. Great work!

amazing, maybe it could be programmed so it also puts a cue point at the chorus, breakdown, outro etc? don't know how that would be achieved though, but rekordbox finds this pretty easily, when you look at the lighting section, it always knows where choruses and breakdowns are

Analyse the colorcode on the screen. maybe it listens automatically to the sound, if it changes hard (added drums etc) it sets a cue point. there are many oppertunites

If you guys not tried this but wondering Is it useful or not, here is my report. Firstly I like to thank you for the coder and channel to find me such app. I run the script for a playlist which includes mostly house, deep house, nu disco, italo disco genres. The script is I think far from to useful. If you can read the code and modify for yourself then it maybe. First problem , the biggest I think. Code looks like dont care lenght of the track. At some tracks 3 or 4 cues are pointing at the end of the track. The lenght differences between the songs are due to the different compositions. So even if the cue points are sometimes on the right bar for mixing, its mostly skipping the important instrumental changes in the songs. Of course If you play some vinly rips or edits which has bpm changes in the songs, forget this script. Most of my tracks wrongly setted for the first beat by Rekordbox. So If you got many songs like this you should also correct all those firstly. Script may work good If your library typically composed and remixed tracks. Similar lenghts, similar song structures may work. Or you should edit the code like Cee B depending on your library and mixing strategy. If you're interest the automatic cue point apps, you should also check rekord.cloud. I'm not sure how succesful their work too.

i JUST found out your channel and think you really offer some great tips to the dj community . Thank you alot. Side question, is there a way (an option) to automatically set your song to start at the initial memory cue point. I mean inside the rekordbox performance mode. I heard there is an option in the hardware ( cjds) for starting a track at initial cue point when loaded... But, I don't know if there is the same feature for rekordbox dj performance mode. ( I saw you use a script to make all your loaded track start at initial cue point, But I though there was an option that did that no? )

Go into RekordBox Settings - Controller - Put a check in the box Load Settings "Playback starts at Memory/Hot Cue nearest to the start of the track"

I manually set all my cue points / hotcues for 4707 tracks. I dj like 30 genres so this would never work, but if all you play is top 40 and hip hop it might work.

its quite simple.. on Mac use 2 fingers on trackpad .. suppose if you are setting a cue on A. first set A as cue then tap on Mac's trackpad with 2 fingers and after that you ll see 16 colour option. from there there you can choose your own colour.,, make sure your cursor ↖ is on cue A
