Moonstone Island is a creature-collecting life-sim set in an open world with 100+ islands to explore. Make friends, brew potions, collect Spirits, and test your strength in card-based encounters to complete your Alchemy training! It's Like Stardew Valley Mixed With Pokémon, Zelda & Animal Crossing. It's a super fun Faming game like Stardew or Coral Island, so I decided I needed to do a challenge run for it!

the exploit thing aside, he also had so much better luck with the bosses on a few occasions so like. in my heart you're the winner, for still managing to tie despite having way harder armor/resist stuff to deal with at certain points lol

It feels pretty weird to me how much rng decides this run when you both have the same seed. Surprising to me that so many of those things aren't dictated by seed but by some other rng factor.

I guess the seed only determines where islands spawn

Seed could literally determine everything, it's just that they immediately take different actions causing things to diverge wildly. It's essentially the butterfly effect. It might be that as long as they're taking the exact same actions everything is the same. But we can't be sure without looking at the code.

The fact the Seanie had worse luck in of it all but still manage to get super close to winning tells you he knows what he's doing. It's really impressive. Speed running in general is pretty impressive but to do it by just the information the he found on his own since the game is so new is amazing.
