Dude I had a similar situation but with track. Ran hard in high school, got to a D1 school. Qualified to regionals, nationals, started looking to maybe go pro/semi-pro. Caught mononucleosis and my training tanked. Got depressed and dropped out of school. Felt like a loser. Worked so many stupid odd jobs getting abused and bullied by coworkers and bosses. Found forex and have met you here. I’ve lost so many trades but haven’t gotten discouraged. To me it’s always been about freedom and a chance to support the ones I love. It's crazy how the only differences in our story is instead of Hockey, it's Soccer. I relate the most to the part where you said something like working your whole life for that one dream and watching it shatter right in front of your eyes. I totally understand the depressive state and "lost" moment. Going monk mood, flow, doing it for the people you love and something bigger than yourself, it feels like I'm looking at a mirror. Watching this from kenya after blowing up all my cash and savings from 2021, i do graphic design and joined a digital company called Muumba Web Digital from St. Louis as a graphics designer and they scammed me 2 months of intensive work the $500 was to help me trade yet i have a family looking up to me i feel weak that i can't help them much now am on trading view setting up charts and doing Demo accounts. For me, I was rly into becoming a software developer Was already on 2nd year on university Realize that the COMPETITION is real in IT jobs Then I become open minded about the bias of going to college, take the loan, then 9-5, mortgage, more loans etc and still chasing that financial freedom Now I just focus on growing my funded account Happier then ever Totally did not want to look to get a job in cooperate building again, Totally faded Just a man who wants to makes his mom and his family happy, no 🧢
