This video was great for me thank you. Just enrolled for an associate’s in advanced automation and robotics at ivy tech this year. This video not only made me comfortable knowing I’m choosing the best way to do what I want to do but also motivates me to put in the extra work it takes to be successful in the programming field. Just have to get my foot in the door with an automation job now. Appreciate the video

I want to become a plc programmer and was told to take plc integration classes after I finish my degree. Is this what I should do?

Hi Greb, Thanks for your essential guidance for Students. Just sharing a thought, the BG volume & fast changing back drop make things harder to grasp your info.

Thank you. I really appreciate your feedback. I'm sure we will have to balance it out. The editing team is also getting better at putting the appropriate backdrops. I think it offers some value and we have to do it took keep this "tick-tock" world entertained longer than three seconds 🤣

If there was a timeline and a flow chart type explanation... it would be of great help to the beginners...

I just moved here in Canada from the US and this job seems everywhere and I’m thinking about switching to this career but I’m not sure if I would qualify. I have a bachelors degree in software engineer and currently working as a test automation engineer.

I think you would definitely do well in this industry. Especially as a programmer. Not to many people come to this industry with PC programming experience. Should be very valuable asset and you would pick it up in no time.

I’m currently working as a industrial electrician/mechanic, only 21. I’m currently doing an associates for industrial electronics. Is it beneficial to pursue mechatronics instead of ee degree because I already do the work?
@EliteAutomation9 ай бұрын
An ee degree can get you in more doors and potentially get you higher pay. I personally think the Associates vs engineering is more valuable but for some reason the market doesn't see it that way.
@EliteAutomation9 ай бұрын
There are some mechatronics engineering degrees now, or a programming engineering degree would also be good. Anything that always you to learn some direct engineering things..

Sir, what's your name? Certified :) Enjoyed the vid. Ty. It's too bad i didn't take the automation and robotics route while in uni. I was too focused on aerodynamics and math. Dreams that never materialized for I wanted to move towards aircraft manufacturing. Now, I am studying PLCs, robotics ( down the road computer vision) on my own time. Done with uni for the time being. I do enjoy the programming bit.
