@@mikikiki I'm a big movie buff, so I am always at a theater. I enjoy going to concerts and sporting events. Reading and playing video games are two of my favorite hobbies.

Hi, Gabe! My name is Cheryl. Wow, what an amazing story! I’m so sorry you’ve been through so much while still so young. I was in a wheelchair when I had Guillain-Barré, then again after Cauda Equina syndrome following a spinal injury. I currently use Lofstrand crutches or on a good day, a cane. I can see why they thought you might have Guillain-Barré - I remember them repeatedly poking needles in my legs when I couldn’t move them, until I reminded them, “I can still feel that, you know.” Apparently not many things affect just the motor neurons. But wow, you have been through so much and are just an amazing young man.

Hello! I know this is an older video but I still wanted to leave a comment. Thank you for your videos, I myself am not disabled but your content has helped me to better understand disability and take those with physical limitations into consideration. Your honesty and attitude towards your condition is eye opening ⭐️

This is Jennifer Sinclair. I died laughing - you were the only first grader to walk around with a day planner!!! You made my whole night!!!!! Gabe, do you still have your day planners from 1st grade???? Way too cute!!!!!! When my daughter was in grade 1 and I was trying to help her complete her homework, she very sincerely informed me that I was "wasting her time"!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, I don’t have my planners anymore, but the practice still sticks with me to this day. Keeping your tasks organized and on schedule is never a waste of time. Take care!

Yes, my guess was polio as well. Polio has never gone away; they just renamed it, over and over again. I'm sorry that happened to you. You just have to live your life the best way possible, good luck...you'll be fine and live a happy life, you have a 'happy' attitude! GOD bless you!

Rare form of polio affecting asthmatics after an illness or after a severe asthma episode. Polio is disabling disease that's mostly forgotten....

Sorry to be so ignorant , but I'm English, and here in England we have a Polio jab when we're infants, which lasts a lifetime..do you have this in the USA too, and does it not cover the more rare Hopkins Polio? God bless you Sir x
@leece_670210 ай бұрын
Yes here in NZ too, polio sip I think it's called. Orally taken by mouth, not injected. . .
@Seeingisntbelieving9 ай бұрын
Yes, in the U.S. it is given to infants. Keep in mind some parents opt out and the vaccine may not prevent the infection in every child.
@streaming53325 ай бұрын
And in Australia, vaccinated as a child when Salk vaccine came available. No one had polio after that.

So you had asthma, then basically got pneumonia, then one night you can't breathe so you get rushed into the ER where you go into a coma? And then you wake up 4 days later and you can't move? That seems odd. I've never heard of such a chain of events before. God speed.
