I am the one that said on your last video every evo that ever raced my GTR was sold in a week its because they usually blew. Don't try to fix. I had this series of evos an evo 4 with a built evo 6 drivetrain. Get an evo 8 or 9 bottom end and go from there. I was just about to tell you how watching your video made me miss my EVO then I saw this and I was reminded why I really don't or more accurately shouldn't. The roll is most likely the mismatched dampening. And honestly don't ever compare an evo to a GTR where I live this battle is long over. A fast EVO lives in the garage . It is the natural habitat of an evo to need fixing.

Don't know if you read all the comments, but I do build these all day in Texas. If I were to make a guess it would be the stock turbo creating too much back pressure. Even a built motor would not be ideal if you stay with the same turbo. If you want to keep it simple, rods and pistons are good. Some gsc stage 2 cams would be great along with some valve springs, and a small 58/58 or 58/62 would keep it alive. In my opinion, anyway. Stock crank is good for about 700. If you decide on doing a new crank, avoid manley. They'll snap at 400. Eagle billet crank will handle around 1200 from what we have found. Good luck. Maybe I'll meet you next time you're here in town for lsd.
