To buy a home you not only need to make saving for the home itself but also for the registration and stamp duty which is mandatory to be paid. Some extra savings for furnitures, decores(getting the home painted), electric fittings and other miscellaneous like paying security charge installation of new electricity metre, gas cylinder subscriptions as well. Buying a home before 25 is possible if you're earning minimum 50k a month and I guess very less jobs pays so lucrative to freshers. Though this video is motivating but I find it a bit to the hypothetical side.

Girls and women are always told to sacrifice for family. Its a very wide phenomenon that even working women spend and save more for others rather than themselves. Saving and spending for yourself is seen as selfish. This should not be the case. Everyone should invest. But women should be encouraged even more so they break the barriers.

You already know the recession pd in India in 2007-2008 that time the people who had invested fr short term had suffered a lot. Hi Saloni, It's a great video indeed. I too had accomplished my dream of an apartment by 25. Everything you mentioned is indeed the path to achieve it especially the mid-risk investment. Just one thing I wanted to add: apart from savings and investment one needs a fairly good payscale as well at an younger age, so after the research & the planning, based on the current state, one should also work to get a dream job to follow the planned things. But to save that much mount of money (that you've shown as an eg. in this video) to buy an apartment, yo realy need to earn very good amount of money first.(considering you're saving for your goal inspite of saving- for other options and spending- for your monthly expenses for survival) as per my experience you need to earn atleast 50k bucks a month to save money for an apartment. 30 to 40 lacs! In Which part of India is your apartment? That's the cost of a semi luxury car! FYI At those rates there are plenty of mumbaikars who'd be able to purchase a place.....just not in the city they live in, where People are paying 5-6 lacs and more a year in rent! In Mumbai those rates existed in the early 2000s (in the suburbs) if you were lucky.... Good times!

Dude. Who saves 15k a month? Only a person who is earning around 40-50k might be able to do that and unless untill you're an iitian nobody would give you a job for 40-50k considering you're just 20 something. I highly appreciate of what you discussed though.

I consider myself lucky enough to earn way beyond that. Plus, it’s almost impossible for anyone earning 40-50k to save 15k. You’ll need to earn much more to have consistent savings of this amount. In the world today, there’re a million other opportunities for you to ‘side hustle’ even if your job pays you less.

matual fund is a myth it does not grow in comparison to infaltion also there is entry and exits fees which usually 1 to 2 % of ur investment . its better to invest in other option in comparison to matual fund n share markets .
