So what they just proved is that the money cap isn't a game engine problem it's a manual cap to your money So why would they even add it? It would be awesome and a massive flex if the money cap was 999,999,999 instead because that would take 10x as longer

i might be mistaken on exactly the number or how it works. The actual cap a number can be in a 64-bit game like the crew 2 is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, (9.2 quintillion). in 32-bit it'd be 2,147,483,647 (2.1 billion)
