Wow, Stan, what an awesome instructional video. Thank you! Looking forward to the next one, perhaps including content describing the parameter setting for the drone fleet.

This is a great video Stan. Would you consider adding a parts list and links to purchse the items. I am considering adding a drone program for our high school to do shows at our sporting events.
@Stan_Humphries11 ай бұрын
Hi David. Glad you enjoyed the video. My frame, flight controller and GPSs were sourced from Holybro in Hong Kong. The WiFi module and SiK radio from 3DR in California, and the RC transmitter and satellite receivers are available anywhere RC stuff is sold. The LEDs come from Adafruit in the U.S. A synchronized drone building and flying program at a high school would be a great education for the kids. There are aviation regulations which vary from country to country regarding flying multiple UAVs, so keep that in mind. In Canada, I need an SFOC from Transport Canada. (Special Flight Operations Certificate).

GetFPV in the U.S. also occasionally stocks Holybro frames, Flight Controllers, and GPSs.

Hi Stan, You have inspired us to add a drone show for our high school MakerSpace at India. I have been looking for a good resource ( someone who has done it DIY style end to end ) and I couldnt find it. But your video gave me hope. Thanks for making this. Question: I couldn’t find the gps module f9p that was shown in the video. But Holy bro f9p rover lite is available here locally. In your expert opinion, Do you think it will work?
@Stan_Humphries9 ай бұрын
@@pratikbhatt8563 Hi. Yes the Holybro F9P rover lite will work. It is much smaller and lighter, and has a compass.
@pratikbhatt85639 ай бұрын
@@Stan_Humphries Thank you so much for that. I have deadline of 7 days for our MakerFest event to fly 10 drones. I will keep you posted. Would love to hear your story. I am sure you have had some amazing experiences. I look forward to a conversation someday.

Hello! Thanks a lot for this really, really precious video and my very compliment for your magnificent build! I saw you mentioned an upgrade to dual band wifi esp32 chip, assuming you will take a module based on the new C5 or C6 version, how you will adapt the firmware? Drone bridge already has the support for dual band? I would like to upgrade also to a dual band wifi but i dont know how to do it, a piece of advice would be wonderful!

I could flight plan for about 10 minutes, then I need to land with about a 3 minute reserve.

Good morning, sir. I wonder which WiFi router you use? Thanks.
@Stan_Humphries10 ай бұрын
Hi Solomon. As I only fly eight drones, and I fly them pretty close to the router, I use an inexpensive home router. I can't really recommend that you do the same. If you are running Skybrush Live as your GCS, I recommend you read their router recommendations here: doc.collmot.com/public/skybrush-live-doc/latest/hardware.html#_supported_routers

MissionPlanner needs to work better on Mac OS. Would you tell me which software you choose for ARDUPILOT(APM Planner 2, maybe)? Also, I am unfamiliar with the WiFi setup, even though I have already read the intro in Collmot. Would you mind giving me some relevant materials? Thanks a lot.
