I only want a tree like this for Christmas. Do you have any ideas how to not have a permanent PVC base in the ground? Or a way to cap it during the off season?

Are the 15 strands 40 ft each?
@69413smitty2 жыл бұрын
Just ordered my flagpole topper today cant wait to try it out. This will be my first year trying something like this. Ive been looking at a 400ft spool with 1000 led green bulbs. Would it be better to use a long strand like the one im looking at or multiple strands. Thanks in advance.
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely easier to manage if you use multiple strands that are shorter but it’s not impossible to build one with one very long strand.

I have the same exact flag pole but when I try to loosen the poles so they come down to just below my height they don’t even turn. What did you use to mount your flag pole into the ground? I’m 100% certain I might have ground water built up in my pole.
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
It’s in a pvc sleeve that’s encased in concrete. It’s in a 28 inch hole with 6” of gravel underneath. Years ago I installed a flagpole straight in the ground and i had the same issue with water in the base of the pole.

How many extension cords did this particular setup require? My wife wants me to transform our flagpole into a Christmas tree and I’ve new to this.
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
I used 5 extension cords. They can be lightweight and they can also plug in to each other.

You really only need one. Those lights won’t pull much power
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
@@LawnPusher it’s over 900ft of lights. After 4 sets you may experience voltage drop and your light will become dimmer the further from the main power source you get.

Would these same steps apply on a 16ft flag pole? How many strings of lights are needed? Your website sells 4 boxes of lights and the topper as a bundle. I see more strings then that on this video.
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
Indeed! Each strand will give you two strands from the top of your flagpole to the ground. The 4 pack you mentioned will give you 8 strands. Depending on how ambitious you want to get with building your tree you can add more strands. The 4-pack is an excellent starter kit. Hope to have more colors in stock next week.

How many stands did you put on each hook
@flagpolechristmastreeguy Жыл бұрын
Four strands on three hooks and three on the last. It’s capable of holding more.

Do you have any experience this 180 degree trees as opposed to 360 degree? One year I tried making my own using cheap lights from a local hardware store. I nearly pulled my hair out trying to figure out exact lengths for everything and ended up having multiple strands stop working after our first big snow storm. We have a static (not telescoping) flagpole that I physically have to remove and put back up with the lights hanging out of the top. I'm open to any suggestions as I'm thinking about tackling it again this year. The reason for 180 degrees is that the pole is too close to the front of the house/deck.
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
Theoretically if you use the 66 foot LEDs folded them in half and put the folded part over part in your clasp you should be able to make any radius tree you want. Using the spacer between the pole and where you stake the lights in the ground is going to be an important to make your tree look neat at the bottom. If you want an entirely new setup I have them for $225 that includes flagpole with pvc ground sleeve, lights, and topper.

I’m ordering the flag pole and adapters. What is the max amount of strings you can use? I have Twinkly string lights that can be mapped with the app - the more lights the better… thanks 👨🚒🚒
@flagpolechristmastreeguy4 ай бұрын
@@fireninteensixtytwo I have stacked 15 strands on a topper before, giving me a 30 strand tree from the top of the pole to the ground. Twinkly lights have a wire gauge of 22 to 24, So basically, you can put as many as you want and more than you’ll ever need.

What would you use for concrete floors?
@flagpolechristmastreeguy2 жыл бұрын
That’s a very good question. I would look at a removable adhesive strip with a weight rating over 100lbs. Clean the area of oils and grime and all will be fine…
