When you say 2$ per transaction is referring to the total number of transactions in the bank feeds for all of their accounts? Or does that also include creating bills/invoices for accounts receivable/payable?

Managing account accounts payable and accounts receivable is separate. I charge a five dollars per accounts payable and $10 per accounts receivable.

Zach, I am 58 years old and will have my final section of my QuickBooks exam for pro advisor certification completed by the end of this weekend. I want to start advertising myself the way you do with social media. However, I am doing this to escape a 12 hour a day five day a week job That pays very little and is exhausting. How do I deal with being unable to answer phone calls while I’m at work from 6:30 in the morning until six in the evening? Do I even admit to perspective clients that I work full-time in automotive repair until my bookkeeping pays all my bills?do I tell my clients to call after 6 PM or on the weekend? I don’t know how to deal with this so I am a little nervous about beginning my social media campaign.

I would use my best judgement when quoting them. Probably cap it at $500, $750, or $1,000 depending on their net income

How long after you started your bookkeeping business did you begin the relationship with your CPA partner? Were you searching for one to partner with and did you get scoffed at by any because you had no extensive bookkeeping experience?

I think it took about six months. It wasn’t too hard. My best recommendation is to find someone who only does taxes. Don’t partner with someone who also offers bookkeeping.
