As soon as the tune is dialed in fully. The car is running with new charge pipes after the last track day. It feels amazing! It has some low speed drivability issues but the top end feels absolutely amazing. It’ll be on a dyno soon for sure.

I have a question for when you were running what you guys over the pond call stage 3 (300hp 500nm aprox) how much difference did you notice with the rear seats and spare wheel stripped out? I am happy with 300HP on mine as its a daily driver 17k miles a year and money is a huuuuge factor at these times. But I dont ever carry passengers and dont plan to. So would taking the rear seats and spare wheel make difference to how the car drives? What did you notice?

I took your advice and went with the HKS on the Intercooler Elbow 👍🏾... A hell of a lot CHEAPER!!!!!! When building the engine, did you send anything to the machine shop?
@tbr.performance4 жыл бұрын
@@bacchusthompson5834 Of course! A engine machinist is absolutely necessary to build a successful engine. You learn to become very familiar with the machining process. The head and block should always be machined flat and the rotational assembly needs to be properly balanced. I did that part myself but the machinist will need to balance the crank. Also, if you want to run a specific bearing clearance, a line hone is required to make sure the crank bores are true and that they will meet your needs.

Nice list of mods. I'm buying one in the next few weeks. Looking for a '17 or '18 ST3. Just need to wait for the right one to come along. My only requirement is it has to be bone stock. I want to modify it the way I want with the parts/brands I want. Plus I think cars that have been modded have been driven harder and can never be sure if they were tuned properly or even tuned at all after adding parts. Edit... why didn't you spin the car around so you could talk without the sun in your face ? Lol

FYI....RE71's are amazing on track. I've had some very aggressive, all-out racing weekends and they grip stupid well and seem to wear nice an even (keep them rotated and good tire pressure). I have a track dedicated set of wheels with RE71R's on them and I will prob stick with them for now. You hit the nail on the head as far as brakes..other than FMIC, the brakes on these cars are NOT track or back road capable..at all. If you truly push your car to its limits, you'll be entering corners very fast, which requires VERY heavy braking. The last thing you want is mushy/no brakes going into a corner at 120mph! Get high temp fluid (like MOTUL600) and good quality pads dedicated for the track on track days, then swap out the rotor/pad combo for the street. its what I do and i dont have to worry about destroying anything and not having a way to drive it home!
