Looks stunning! I have a spruce body partscaster, and i like it so much. But the finsih is so fragile(nitro thin paint), and the wood is soft, so the dings & scratches appearing very fast and easy, it will get that relic look very soon. Do you have the same problem? Pine is about the same softnes as spruce.
@MichaelLagerstedt6 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and for your comment. Yes pine is a relatively soft wood but I’m not really concerned with scratching or dinging it so I haven’t thought that much about it. Also, the wood I’m using is at least 215 years old meaning it was chopped down 215 years ago so it’s not as soft as the pine you can buy today. Maybe that’s a factor too 👍😉

This is the best guitar build vid I've ever seen. I recently "built' ie put together 😆, a kit guitar from Harley Benton but seeing this make me think I could do it from scratch. Very inspiring. 👌

Hey Bob Thanks so much for the kind words 🙏. I didn’t really build it from all scratch though. I bought the neck - didn’t really feel like doing that from scratch. Thanks so much for watching , really appreciate it 😃👍🏼

Thanks Evan. I have to say it was also rather soothing to make 😁... I can highly recommend this process 😉👍🏼

Do you happen to have the plans for that painting jig?
@MichaelLagerstedt Жыл бұрын
Hi zack, sorry no, that was just a few pieces of scrap wood with a hole in one end. I have a bad habit of collecting wood and sometimes, not often, but sometimes it comes in handy 👍😉 Hey thanks so much for watching though 😃🙏🏻

Great job! Where did you get the plans for this body? It looks like the novo guitars. Can I find them to make templates for myself?
@MichaelLagerstedt3 жыл бұрын
+Krzysztof Matachowski Hi Well I briefly describe it in episode 1 ... I just downloaded a picture of a Novo Serus J and printed it out in the right size. I knew exactly how big a p90 pickup is so that’s how I determined the right size of the print. Then I made the template myself. I actually made several before I was satisfied. Thanks for watching... really appreciate it 😉👍🏼

Hej Michael. Hvor mange timer har det taget dig i alt? Flot resultat
@MichaelLagerstedt3 жыл бұрын

how much would you sell it for?
@MichaelLagerstedt10 ай бұрын
I think I would regret it if I sold it but if I should I would consider these prices: Lollar gold foil pu: 430$ Mastery vibrato: 430$ Guitar anatomy neck: 150$ Body wood: unattainable 200 years old pine. 2500$ maybe 🤔 Hey, thanks so much for watching 😃🙏🏻
