Great video, it's so interesting to see the difference in mindset from a comp player and sim player. I try incorporate both play styles in my game play.

You should have to make a playbook with completely random formations and plays. So close your eyes and go through the different formations until you are in a random formation and then scroll down and move around until you find a random play. First test them in practice until you make a touchdown with that play, or change it, and then add it into the playbook and play a game with it. For example: You might get the dagger play or one of the team specific plays and then have to try and score with it.

Thing is these should work but you have to get the perfect blocking which won’t happen in ranked gameplay with QB contains on. I’m loving what I see because you can scheme guys open . These plays aren’t broken, it’s really just good schemes.

It’s absolutely broken. Calling the ‘right’ play doesn’t always work, and it shouldn’t. That doesn’t even take into account the pass rush.

Hey Spruce and everyone else, last Madden I played was 20 and I'm having some trouble with 23. On 20 when you held both triggers, that was how you used to QB slide and showboat. But now it brings up this weird blue menu that blocks my screen. It also happens on defense when I'm strafing and then I hit right trigger to speed boost. Is this a new feature for 23? Is there a way for me to disable this menu from coming up?

What does the menu look like? Right trigger is still speed boost and there shouldn't be any weird menus coming up. Also for QB slide, now you tap X. To showboat I believe it's hold both triggers and A but it changes every year lol

@@SpruceGooseTV it looks like some sort of chat menu. I think I found it at the very bottom of the settings, I believe it's called "quick menu" and I disabled it. Very annoying!

Hey man! What exactly do you mean by reset? Also, yes unless a play has built-in auto motion (which isn't that common), you have to select them and motion them manually every time

Gun Trips TE :) Lol but honestly we're all still learning the new game, if you're coming from current gen then spend some time in practice mode getting used to the slower movement and worse zones because the game handles in a fundamentally different way.

The game is significantly different every year, honestly it's never just an updated roster. Most of the changes they made to the gameplay are good, I just think they need to improve o-line blocking logic and then the game will be in a really good spot
