Wow, just wow! I need a love button for this. Our egos are so fragile. I love and appreciate the fact that you trust God enough to let it go and move to your next season. Most times, Pastors miss out on living because they Pastor until they die. What about preparing legacy? What about mentoring and handing off to next generation. It takes a strong healthy person to do that. I see so much life in that. Blessings to you, your wife and your church family as you obey God and flourish in your next season. I am so blessed and encouraged by this as I move forward into my next season as well. I don't even know how I found this but God knows I needed to hear this.

I had an opportunity to visit Fellowship back in the 70's and I loved it; me, my, husband, mother, and father! But I extend much prayer to you as you follow God and I admire how you're doing it so...."Unselfishly"! You're STILL young and it has to be a "GOD THING" without a doubt; because MOST preachers do NOT leave their pulpit @ an early age and especially a flock like you have @ Fellowship! Sounds like he got tired. Listening to the story, hes been going full throttle since he was a youngster. Didnt really have a chance to do much else but preach and Pastor all these years. It can really burn you out which is why Pastors really need to take care of themselves. God has to give that strength to keep serving in that capacity because it is a lot. Honestly it is better for him to step down and retire if his heart really isnt in it anymore than to keep trying to do it because people think he should. Its between him and God. Hopefully hes making the right decision and I wish him and his family well.

Amen. Many Christians are launched into their ministries prematurely (before they are ready to withstand the level of warfare and problems that come with the positions). It would help if people (especially worship leaders, teachers, pastors, prophets, teachers, etc.) are completely trained before they are placed in an exalted position because if the shepherd is struck, then the sheep will scatter. For example, marriage and parenthood are the highest-level ministries in God's Kingdom...yet people frequently get married and have children way before God actually released them. They find out when it gets too hot for them to handle. See divorce, abandonment, etc. The children (followers) suffer (lose faith in God, detour from their own callings, etc.).

AMEN. God has been working and showing me things to go speak and I recently stop wrestling with God andsurrendered myself. Because this out of my comfort zone and I am not a public speaker. But he showed me the place in detail and I never seen the place in my life until I looked it up and I spoke with the people and evertything is lining up so well until I know it is God. So it is best to listen to God, even if you are scared to speak with the people in reference to the visions and instructions God has given you. We know that pastor Jenkins finish his work this man come out of the holiness sanctified church that’s like taking steps backwards when you leave Pentecostal to go join a baptist church but fellowship wasn’t just a baptist church rev clay Evans is save with Holy Ghost speaking in tongues the only way to keep that church on the right path is for rev find his successor in a Pentecostal church not a traditional baptist church who don’t believe in speaking in tongues is a big part of salvation. This may not make any sense the Lord connect those two together now years later look at fellowship still going strong in the Lord now pastor Jenkins is retiring and passing the baton onto another sanctified pastor who can continue build on that Holy Ghost success in the Lord.

Abraham did not have any idea where He was going and therefore he was not confused and neither is this man. People`s problem is religion! God can call you out of a season and place and lead you elsewhere. God did not tell Charles to move to Fellowship for life! We can walk with God constantly hearing Him by His Spirit until like Enoch we are no more. People need to break away from religion and start living a spiritual life being led by the Spirit. We have a great example in Jesus Christ who "retired" at 33 after 3 years of ministry and He proclaimed that it is finished. It was time for Him to exit the scene, ascend to the Father and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in this dispensation.

hahahahahahahaahha! Every time I hear God I am terrified. Brother, I am a sinner. I am also a felon. At 40 I have no ministry. Everything is dark. But I have a light. My light is active and living and one day I will add my light to yours and the Earth will tremble. Why? Don't know fully but I have a great hope and it is my honor to tremble in expectation and a great blessing. I tremble in fear and joy. Others will tremble under judgement. He is holy and if I ever do die I hope I am burned away through knowledge of His holiness and light. I have no fellowship and no church but my heart sings because of the knowledge of His light and His Church. May my God continue to frighten me through the knowledge of his light, his uncaused being, and his holiness. I have learned something. Even if I were to incur judgement I would sing praise from Hell.
