My anvil also has those chisel marks on the soft iron, I had read the same thing, cool to know! Curious if you're not tempted or interested in repairing the edges? I guess as you have several anvils 😉 it's not too important? If this were my only anvil I think I'd need to see to them. (fortunately the one I have that needs repairing today, the edges are pretty much fine, it's just the face that needs flattening and overall resurfacing... By hand of course.... No big machines here!). Thanks for sharing. This is in line with what I've done so far as well.
