This is a really cool way of thinking! What you built in the second half of the video was basically Hugo Riemann's Tonnetz, which I've been trying to figure out how to use to come up with interesting chord progressions. Definitely look more into that, it describes a whole lot more when it comes to modal music.

@@darushkii Have you checked out the raga permutation technique called “merukhand”? It will give more combinations than the matrix, but perhaps lack the thematic integrity of the matrix.
