I personally prefer concealing under the foundation to not chance it being a different color. Obviously Melissa is amazing and can match her concealer to her foundation, I've tried and I can't seem to get it just right, I wish I could though

I pulled up this video again today, because I used the techniques two years ago and it worked so well! I'm having a random bout of terrible acne, and I had an event today where I wanted to feel less self-conscious about my current appearance. Worked like a charm! Thanks again!

Paula’s choice products are my go to for blemish-prone skin. They do say that heavy creams and lotions can clog oily skin more and be a reason for breakouts. But they offer so many wonderful lightweight moisturizers that have become holy grails for me.

being someone who struggled with very serious acne for yeeeears and years, don't put the concealer stick directly on your skin, this way you're putting bacteria and all the nasties onto the stick and spreading it to new places. Put some amount on the back of your hand (cleaned and after using hand sanitizer) and then use a brush/your fingertip to apply to the spots. :) oh and have you tried using azelaic acid in your skincare? work great without being photo sensitizing, it's both to prevent new breakouts and to fade the erythema/hyperpigmentation.
@Hollyhock74 жыл бұрын
You watch Hyram dont you??!! Lol. Good advice tho.. I love azelaic acid

the problem with using cream concealer on face blemishes is that on top of foundation it runs the risk of looking a little too heavy, a little too cakey, so have to be careful with that. honestly I just got in the habit of only covering up LARGE blemishes and zits otherwise it takes too long to finesse everything [unless I'm going somewhere important]

I’ve worked in the dental field for years so have dealt with mascne for a long time. Best tips are wear less makeup under a mask obviously and exfoliate regularly. I personally only wear my skincare under my mask when at work.

If masks are indeed the cause of acne then washing or replacing it daily would be ideal as well as spray the inside of the mask with alchohol /astringent can help 🙏

How do you do it, staying in shape and eating healthy? I mean I have kids husband, I am overweight, who truly helps you to get moving. I've been working out since March and I see no progress. So it gets discouraging, but I must be missing something. I would love to see if you can share some tips in that Dept. That way I can follow what you recommend or help you. If you can. Even if it's a certain water bottle or certain food you have to eat a certain time of day. That way I can get ideas or see what's helps me. Of course I'm mexican so the food is hard to let go of, but I've been making it in healthier version but you know what ever can spare. I would to get in shape and feel good about my self. You know. Well thank you for everything and I truly love love your videos.

the problem is even with powders and good matte primers the makeup will still rub off on the mask unless you layer a lot of setting spray [which I just ran out of] so any concealing that gets done on big acne , under the mask areas ,gets removed pretty easily unless you use really fast drying products on the blemishes. am I making sense?

I have hormonal acne prone skin which didn’t start until my mid twenties (I’m 40 now) and I wear absolutely no product underneath my mask. No makeup, no sunscreen, no moisturizer, nothing! Or else I’ll breakout. I use extremely gentle fragrance-free face wash so it doesn’t dry out my skin and cause further breakouts. Also, I only wear cotton masks and I wash after every use with fragrance-free, dye-free detergent. I don’t use chemical sunscreen and no product with fragrance I don’t care how good they are. Also? I rarely leave my house so I don’t have to wear the stupid mask in the first place 😂
