Did you have it on a high heat? Used mine for the first time yesterday. I've got much finer hair than you though. I used med heat and high "sucking". 10 secs, then 10 secs on the cold shot. Looked like Shirley Temple, but then i gently used the massively wide toothed comb that Dyson provide.....and the whole lot just dropped out!! 😮‍💨 I couldn't believe it! It was my first time using it and i ended up using two products including a setting spray. I wouldn't be able to use all that hair spray! I hate hair spray, plus I've got asthma. Today, i got up, and bizarrely, the fringe still looks better than normal, but the rest of it is just a mess. If i damp it down a bit, and leave it, it will look a bit wavy, but just not nice, and when i give it a light brush, that all disappears into frizz. I'm REALLY disappointed 😢

Yes for curls it needs to be high heat and high speed. Your hair also needs to be about 80-90% dry xx

It got a nice soft wave Cath , I have looked at the Dyson but would use it with my hair long , and I’m thinking of going short again.. it’s a costly item so I will have to decide what I’m doing first :)

Yes is definitely best for longer hair. I haven’t used it for almost a year but now I use it all the time x

I have been reading that hot tools burn grey hair and you cant reverse it. I was flat ironing sometimes but I think I will avoid any hot tools now that I am grey.

That’s the beauty with Dyson all the heat tools don’t get to a temperature that will damage your hair. Even the straighteners. I have all of them and my hair is still perfect. It’s worth the investment x
