I've had a few people ask me how I cut my toddler's hair. Here it is! To clarify a few things, I buy hair cutting scissors at my local grocery store for around $10. They are small and sharp and cut the hair nicely. I wouldn't try it with just any old scissors. As I say in the video, I'm not a pro. My son always had a lot of hair and he needed a hair cut at 6 months old. I bought a book and just gave it a try. This is just how I do it. I hope it is helpful to someone, but don't blame me if it doesn't work for you!
Please keep in mind that I was very slow the first several times I cut his hair, and made mistakes (and still do), but I get better every time I do it. It takes a lot of practice. I used to do it in stages, sometimes taking several days to finish. I still do that now sometimes, especially if he is wiggly. If he gets too wiggly, it just isn't safe to do so I leave it for the next day. Always practice caution and only do what you feel is safe!
