I sell Xena early and place Wukong in spot. I place Xena round 1, 6 and end of 8. Use Realm and place her top left corner or right behind the tank in 6 & 7. I use Wukong to tank so he can hit ult as soon as final mob appears in portal each round.

I got to apex overlord thanks to my a3 wukong. Didn't expect to keep my place cause I don't have valderon or preatus and I've descended to overlord, couple of hours before the end of arena . And here is my team: a3 wukong -a3 kigiri -a0 twyla- a0 torodor - a1 elowyn

Your only source of bleed is Salazar's basic attack, you use ult before he can even attack once... so you have 85.5% crit chance Salazar which is gamble. The rage regen gear is sick though....

The only downfall I could see here would be you get some advantage on round one but her ult goes away against someone that takes longer and then they may catch up while you catch up or maybe even more. If that makes sense?

She's the Xaris of single target arena. Ample early advantage to offset future placements, lol

@@aldmerian except.. She is literally the perfect counter to Valdy.. You can lose the rest of the fight by a small margin and still win. Before you would lose first 2 rounds.. And Valdy would stomp ya all the way to the end 😂

Is Salazar better than Twyla(with Hex bond)? I know that in PvE Twyla significantly outperforms Salazar, wondering why that's not the case in PvP. Speaking of which, if you don't have Xena is Twyla a viable replacement for her? Considering that with her bond she's also 11 cost for the first deployment. Or any other similar low cost hero like say Valeriya or Ardea or is Xena's initial damage so insane that she outclasses all the alternatives in those crucial initial rounds? Speaking of which, I'm surprised Salazar is still the top DPS choice considering all these other fighters being available, is it because of his burst from the ultimate, his self sustain(he does take some damage in that slot) or what, because I'm confused.

Yes.. Sally's secret move here is that clutch ultimate that insta kills the last mob of each wave. It's a ton of damage and Twyla can't keep up with that :) But, All other options seem to fall short vs Xena in STA. You might try Xaris though? :D

You always can sell Xena and place Salazar on that place. Just saying -) And autocast works very slow. Its better to tap ult button. To place Torodor faster u can place Elowyn`s wood elf and sell it. And remember - u`ll get completely different results w/o A5 SWK..

I was considering her for the rush of the week's arena but went with a valderon team to get apex. Have you played around recycling xena? You could possibly do volka instead of torodor, or even instead of elowyn. Volka's healing should be sufficient

It's nice to see a different setup to the standard valderon/ardea/salazar meta. I do think it could fail as a defence due to rng of wukongs clone placement, it could block the tile for salazar placement.

I do it with same positions, but i use Twyla because im not have Xena. In 80% cases Valderon nuke me before i click on ultimate of Salazar and Wukong, or between 1 sec delay of Wukongs ultimate hit the target. I also trying auto ulti before last mob come, but it even worse with wukong timing.

Yeah.. STA vs Valderon is real tough without a Praetus team or a Xena team :( Maybe try Xaris?

It definitely is. From round 5 to 8, you can simultaneously trigger Wukong and Salazar's ultimates every last mob. Which will blitz the said mob faster than Praetus comp.
