You could eliminate the c-clips all together by installing bearings that are held in by a bearing retainer bracket at the end of the axle tube opening. They sale kits online. You would no longer need to pull the diff cover to change an axle and the bigger bearings would strengthen it quite a bit. Aftermarket axles are pretty expensive so I’d make sure I got the gears and everything lined out first. Goodluck Kenny

the reason window A/C units don't drain completely is because the fan is supposed to scoop up the water and blow it on the condenser. it helps cool the condenser down so it can cool better and not run hot. but yeah it does cause it to rust and corrode the condenser coil over time

Kenny my ac was the same way tore it down drilled more bigger drain holes ran good all last summer . Hope it does good when i put it in the window tomorrow . One year i had stink bugs get in it over the winter . I fired it up and you could here them hit in the fan .Stunk up the house .LoL

Hey kendawg, the reason the ac unit holds water is because the fan is supposed to splash water on the condenser to make it more "efficient" by using the water to help cool it down. They usually have rubber gromments in the ends of the metal tray to remove, im kind of surprised I didn't see any on yours.

Ay Kenny just wanted to let you know windows units are actually supposed to retain water around the condenser, it actually helps cool off the liquid line increasing the efficiency of the AC

I know you love this truck and you should just give up on the stock f150 componets. I would look in to getting solid axles. I put 1979 f250 axles under my s10 for less then $3k with lockers front and rear. All you need is a driver side drop front axle and rear axle with a companion flange. Id look in to 2000 super duty dana 60 and 10.25 and do leaf springs in the front. I used 1996 dodge dakota rear springs in the front of my truck. Rides great. 👍

I got a 86 f150 and the mushroom yeeted itself after I put a new tranny in and tweaked the rear end I believe it was caused by two much torque or sum for the lil guy so I did beefier axles and aint had no issues

maybe try putting some wedges on top of the rear leaf blocks to adjust the driveshaft angle that fixed my issues like your having. i believe mine were either 5 degree or 10 degrees. i have a 2003 4 door with the fabtech 6 in lift and a 3 in body lift was on 37s i went to 35 1250 r 20 for highway driving.

Ken dawg I don't know cause I didn't see you mount your tranny but is the tranny an the engine mating up square cause I can't imagine vibration cracking the bell housing but you might need to get new motor mounts to raise or lower your engine stress on the bell housing plus vibration would crack it cause I remember you swapped the engine maybe it sits at a different height

Kinda late on the comments but Kenny, I think it might be worthwhile to send your driveshaft into a driveshaft shop and check the balance in it. I don’t disagree that the gears in ur rear end (NHBF) could mess stuff up but the driveshaft would be worthwhile looking into.
