Yesterday was a fun experiment with the ducking delays, thank you. My 2290 algo is a wonderful ducking delay, bounces left and right, but is only a single delay value. Essentially one very capable delay. Two 2290s with different values creates a more standard and familiar dotted delay with the ability to move out of the way of the main input signal. 2290 also has a modulation so a slow chorus creates the dream. A new favorite, great deep dive.

That’s some really useful info on delay dialing I’ve been curious about. Since I didn’t know about ducking/eq-ing I kept the delay rather rolled off with my reverb dealing with most of that spacial feel. Now that’s an interesting approach I gotta dive into. Thanks!

A bit of ducking slap delay is great on rhythm tones too , especially when you are the only guitar player in a band. Fills out the sound without getting in the way of the band or your core tone

everyone commenting on the delays, Imma compliment Psyduck on looking good. The tones are really neat too. Ducking delays in a mix can be such a pain in the arse so having that option on the Ax Fx is a very nice feature.

Informative lesson. I noticed you have the delay after your cab block. I always thought it was to go before the cab? Any recommendations? 👍

In this case placing the delay after the cab makes it easier to preserve the stereo imaging of the delays (else the cab would sum them to mono, or you'd need to use a stereo cab block).

Pretty sure there's a ducking feature in the delay block - try turn the attenuation parameter up.

I definitely want to take a Kemper Stage for a spin at some point - I remember the ducking delay being one of my favourite delays on the KPA I tried previously.
