How I DIY’d vintage art with IOD Moulds, decoupage & books

On this piece I used various chalk paint in creamy beige, a dab of a greenish gray and white. I used Creative Paper Clay with the IOD Moulds to create the designs. I used napkins that I bought off of Amazon with the decoupage glue from Dollar Tree…and I used burlap ribbon from the Dollar Tree. The beads are from Michael’s and the Brass Keys I had in my stash. The books were just old canvas books that I had laying around and no longer used.

I so love the books, not a fan of burlap or the beads, I would think that some vintage-aged lace would look even better than the burlap. The key is so symbolic though, the key to knowledge. Also, if one doesn't have the molds, I would think that using some ornate fabric ribbon trims might work on the spines of the books.

Yes vintage lace sounds very nice too and I love the idea of the ribbon trim. There are so many options and designs that could be possibilities. But thank you for your input I really appreciate it. 🥰

No mam. That is my goal this year. My mom is a cosmetologist. I just create stuff and put some stuff at her shop and some of her customers know I do that and request certain things. I do alot of everything, thrift flips, small furniture, wreaths, porch signs, macrame, etc. I would love to get myself organized and get some of my stuff on Facebook marketplace. My goal is to get my holiday stuff out this year and start establishing some local clients. I have done a few small festivals in the past before Covid and I always did extremely well. I just haven't looked into it recently.
