Such a great 'how I do it' video! My tired brain didn't connect the dots with the superfast sanding... I was like 'Wow! She's fast!!', until I realise that you'd speeded up the process... Duh! 😂 I like the length too... I was workig along side of you on a cover of my own and it was very nice to have the 'company'. 😊

@CarolineontheHillside few helpful tips... better results if you do on wood or hard surface. You don't have to peel... you can just sand down to your desired look. I didn't sand to much because this book cover is very old. Thanks for watching!

@jekbot yes it's better on mdf or wood cos you can really sand it down to reveal the layers underneath. Also, you can just glue down and not peel up but use the sander. I didn't sand as hard as I normally would because I didn't want to damage the book cover. TFW!

OMG!! When I first saw the KZbin Thumbnail on here, before even seeing your name, I stopped in my tracks, and was like, "I've got to see this." I just love all the details in here. That pop of red paint was perfect in the back ground. I think is is so cool that you found that book with part of your name on it! This journal cover is going to be awesome when you are done.

How do you decide what adhesive to use? I've seen you use several in this and other videos. I got the feeling at one point that you felt matte medium was the best overall for this type of thing.

@hollisbernstein3320 you are exactly correct... usually I'll not even bother peeling up and just sand but since this book cover is quite old, I didn't want to sand as hard as I would if the collage were on a piece of wood. I forgot to try mod podge, but I think that's a good adhesive, too. TFW!😊
