Grazie, Margherita 😊. I won't attempt to write in Italian, but feel free to reply in Italian because I understand more than I can speak/write. I have been watching some of your beginner videos, but I thought I'd give this one a go as a challenge, and I'm surprised how much I understood. I understood nearly all of it! There were some words I didn't know, but I understood their meaning with the context, and a couple of other words that I couldn't understand even with the context, but that didn't hinder my overall understanding of the content. Of course, the Italian subtitles helped a lot, and I definitely would've understood less had they not been there. I also love languages. I'm a native English speaker with an upper intermediate level in Spanish and a low intermediate level in Portuguese. I'm also learning French and Italian, and your videos are some of the best I've seen! They are so easy to follow. It's often hard to find good beginner content in most languges. Most beginner content is in English, which is fine if it's a video teaching English, but I already speak English. I need easily understandable content in the language I'm learning, so thanks so much for that! You mentioned some plants from Australia. Are you living in Australia? È molto difficile trovare video per principianti in tutte le lingue e mi fa molto piacere sapere che i miei video ti stiano aiutando! 🤗 Wow, anche tu stai studiando un sacco di lingue nello stesso momento! Perché studi così tante lingue? Solo per piacere personale o per lavoro? E come le stai studiando? Tutte nello stesso modo o stai applicando metodi diversi? Sono molto curiosa Esatto, vivo in Australia! Nello specifico, sono in WA, qualche ora a nord di Perth. @@learningitalianwithmargherita I'll reply in English because I'm still really in my input stage with Italian 😊. Years ago, I fell in love with the music from Latin America. Initially, I wasn't trying to learn Spanish, but I learnt a lot of words without really trying by listening to a lot of music, and eventually I decided to learn Spanish. Before I started learning Spanish, I spent a few years learning Latin and then decided that I would make an effort to learn Spanish because I love the Latin American cultures, music, food, etc. I'm really interested in linguistics and etymology, so I guess it was just a matter of time before I decided to learn the other romance languages because I love finding patterns between languages (I know, I'm such a geek 🤣). I'm trying to learn languages in a natural way, which is why your videos are so good. When I was learning Latin, I mostly used a book called "Lingua Latina per se illustrata" which teaches in a natural way, starting with simple sentences and getting progressively more complicated. This, in my opinion, is the best way to learn a language. I don't believe in memorizing lists of words, memorizing conjugation tables, and overanalysing grammar rules. I do lots of listening and reading. I can listen to and read basically anything in Spanish, and I have conversations with people frequently. In Portuguese, I can understand it if it's slow enough, I can read it well, and I can communicate but slowly. In French and Italian, I haven't been learning for very long so I can't really speak much, but I can understand both languges pretty well in writing, and speech if it's slow enough. Ma che meraviglia, abbiamo un sacco di cose in comune 😂😍 anche io sono appassionata alla linguistica e all'etimologia delle parole e anche io sto provano a studiare le lingue in un modo più naturale e spontaneo, prendendo spunto da come i bambini imparano la loro prima lingua! E anche io sto studiando latino di nuovo da "Lingua latina per se illustrata"!! ahah adoro! Nei licei italiani (nella maggior parte) latino è obbligatorio, ma lo studiamo in un modo per niente efficace e veramente noioso. Praticamente impariamo solo la grammatica in modo passivo e impariamo a tradurre i testi dal latino all'italiano, fine 😅 Quindi adesso sto provando a ri-studiarlo aiutandomi con quel libro! Veramente complimenti e buona fortuna per tutte le tue lingue! Sopratutto con il latino e italiano 😍 c'è qualche argomento o qualche video particolare che ti piacerebbe vedere sul mio canale? @@learningitalianwithmargherita Fantastico! Le lingue sono una cosa bellissima 😊. Latin is the first language I attempted to learn, but I'm not really focused on it these days. "Lingua Latina per se illustrata" is a libro fantastico, and you'll learn a lot more from it than you ever did in your Latin classes at school 😊. It's a shame that teaching languages is seen as something very academic, when in reality, learning languages is something natural that we all do. I teach English to Spanish speakers, and I focus on a more natural way of learning. I can't think of a specific topic I would like to see, but maybe you could tell stories in Italian in some videos. Maybe with images to aid comprehension. Stories are a great way to learn a language. I don't know, anything you do I'm sure will be great 😁. Buona Domenica! 🤗

Ciao margherita! Sono d'accordo con te che l'insegnante è fondamentale per l'insegnamento di una lingua, ma credo che la cosa più importante quando si inizia ad acquisire una lingua sia ascoltare e poi cercare un insegnante. Questa è la mia esperienza come studente di lettere e lingue straniere. Ottimo video

Ciao! Grazie mille per il tuo commento 🤗✨sono pienamente d’accordo con te! Anche io preferisco prima immergermi nella lingua in solitaria e poi successivamente affidarmi alla guida di un’insegnante! Ho sempre fatto così con tutte le lingue che studio/parlo e spingo sempre i miei studenti a fare lo stesso. Non devono dipendere da me, devono essere autonomi nel loro studio: io sono solo una carta in più da giocare quando sono pronti/e 📚🍀✨ Quindi sei italiano/a? Ho hai studiato lettere all’estero?

Ho vissuto a Siviglia-Spagna per due anni e ho scoperto la passione per le lettere e le lingue. Ma se penso di andare all'università di Bologna per studiare alla fine della mia laurea.
