There are lots of good things to learn from this edit, so thanks for that! Most people when working in Photoshop try to preserve the ability to backtrack though, and to keep an original layer unedited, so I think I might try this a couple of times combined with that sort of technique.

Great to see your workflow, interesting to understand who long you spend on each image. On a separate note would a gridded soft box or beauty dish plus under exposing the background by a stop or two reduced the need for a lot of this post work?

Yes, soft box helps but then you will spend time to set up soft box and carry it. And if its windy, good luck:)) I love to work with 2 lights but hate to carry all extra equipment.

Irene, how do you keep the constancy of the edit of the same photoshoot if you edit each image separetely without creating any actions ou saving the color correction layers? I want to change from Lightroom to Photoshop but I'm afraid I can't create consistency in the whole photoshoot.

When you go to selective colour/greens it's don't affect green leaves too much, because this tool mostly consider grass and leaves are basically yellow. i know, it's sounds strange, but selective colour in PS have really rough targeting, if you want address some colour range more precise you have to choose another tool or approach.

Make sure your mask is selected when painting. You could be painting on the image part of the layer, rather than the mask part of the layer.

Trey Cochran you need to toggle your black and white foreground and background colour. Then paint with the opposite colour to the background mask e.g black mask, white mask.

You need the newest Photoshop version ( I have Photoshop 2018) to be able to open camera raw in filters

You actually have to shoot your photos in raw. If you're shooting in Jpeg the prompt won't appear.
