Awesome video! I like the paper trick you showed with the 2 holes. Never thought of that. I also did the same mod to my small HF vise that you did. Helped me a lot when doing my personal intercooler tubing fab.

I was going to mention how beneficial a small vise like that can be but I never got a chance to film an outro. The paper trick is awesome. Forget where I learned that one...probably youtube lol.

Hey! I finally got a tig welder. My first tig. What rod size should I use and tungsten for. This kind of work??
@yakswelding863 жыл бұрын
I'd start with some mild steel plate. Get used to adding filler to the puddle. 3/32 ER70S-2 should be fine to start.

@@yakswelding86 I tried tig 2 times before. What amperage would be a good starting point for intercooler piping?
@yakswelding863 жыл бұрын
@@BulliKid I'd start with 90 amps for intercooler piping. Could be + or - 10 amps depending on your machine. I wouldn't start out on intercooler piping if you are just getting started but good luck man. Glad you pulled the trigger and got a tig machine. They are a great investment and you will get better and better. It's just practice and patience.
