How I feel about George Lucas & Disney

I agree I personally I really only like the first three movies because I’m a early 80s kid. On my fifth birthday I got a enormous box of Star Wars toys that my grandmother got at flea market. The box was taller than me I still have everything I owned and now have added a lot more to it.

Great to hear your point of view. Like you said, cherish George's creation. Even my kids can recognize the lack of quality coming from LFL 2.0. It's irresponsible what they are doing with the IP, but also how they are treating the fans. Anyway, I enjoy your videos and your road trips. I've recently started re-collecting classic Kenner myself. I'm trying to recoup my childhood and I'm having a blast doing so! Shout out to Ewok Em! Keep up the good work you two!

Your dad sounds like a cool guy and had a cool job good stuff my dad worked in power plants fixing ginormous steam turbines it was pretty impressive to see. Your dad taking you on set must have been the coolest thing to see when your a kid.

He sold the rights to Disney at the start of the main films but kept the rights to the toy manufacturing aspect because George was extremely clever he knew where the money was.

Point on buddy! I've always been an OT guy, and that's pretty much the universe I live in when I think of SW. Everyone has their flavor, and with the exception of Rogue One, Disney SW has not been my flavor, and I don't watch anymore. Your channel gives me hope looking at the next generation of younger fans, keep up the great work!

Rogue One was amazing. My second best SW movie after ESB. Solo was good. Andor was great as well. First six movies and Rogue One are my 'Star Wars Universe'.

I just stick the original trilogy for the most ...disney has no passion,creativity,love for the Star Wars universe..they only want to destroy at this point

Coming up for air here ,G Lucas did what many earlier toy companies comic books did ,they put out something that sparked the imagination Superhero’s,Star Trek ,GI JOE ,MEGO and list goes on u name it. We finally seen our childhood memories we loved and grew up with being put on the big screen for yrs now but in the last 9 yrs because of some weird culture movement we’re seeing them cut our childhood hero’s to shreds before our eyes buy the same movie companies that gave them to us ,they fail to recognize the damage they’re doing to them selves and film going fans. I’m one of them film fans and hav been for many decades and I won’t accept garbage ,until these movie companies set a better course in releasing better quality films I for one will be watching a lot less at the theaters.

Mandalorian season 1 and 2 were good. Andor was amazing. Obi was decent for the most part. Watch and judge for yourself. Always happy to see the star wars universe carry on to the next generation. You never know what will happen.

The Original Trilogy will always be the only real Star Wars. But the prequels grew on me as the years went by so I accepted it as part of the original lore. With the exception of Rogue One and Mandalorian season 1 and 2, all the other Disney stuff is an abomination! Disney is not in the entertainment business, they are a propaganda machine pushing the “message”. Star Wars fans aren’t actually attacking Disney, like some people think. We’re just defending our opinions. But Disney has the audacity to blame viewership?!?! The success of a product is gauged by the response of the consumers. And their “message” has impacted Star Wars collecting. Biggest peg warmers are Disney characters. Quite telling!

I only recently started to like Crystal Skull. It took ages to appreciate it for what it is, not what I wanted it to be. Dial of Destiny really elevated it for me because of how terrible it was. Beyond the first scene in the movie. The deaged part was great. Sallah and Marion were great, but the Maguffin and story was lacking. Killing Mutt was infuriating, making Indy an out of time loser was borderline cruel, if realistic.

I still like all the movies, including the prequels and the last trilogy. However what Disney has turned it into with each series has gotten worse and worse in my opinion. It's not that I want it to stay the same, but they seem to be shoving political views down our throats. I just quit watching them. I will still enjoy collecting and the movies but not the Disney garbage. Just a Gen-x opinion from an old man like me. lol.... Good video man!
