Marathon Training Complete! This past Sunday I participated in the 2018 Los Angeles Marathon. This was my 1st Marathon and BOY did I break a leg out there especially at mile 15. JK the leg part is click bait, but here's how it went.

Broken leg part is total click bait, but here’s how it went. I had a knee injury so I couldn’t practice which is why there were no marathon training videos. After overcoming my injury I want to do Rahh2018 Track season. Boost like button to make it happen.

Great job bro. Good job on not giving up. Working thru the cramps and pains. You should try to hit each marathon around the country. IE.. New York , Chicago, and any of major city that do them.

I've never run competitively but I started running regularly in March of this year to work on cardio for motorsports (auto racing) which is my desired athletic path in the future. To elaborate, a racing drivers heart rate is always up during a race which can last several hours. I just completed my first "official" run last weekend which happened to be a half marathon called Heroes Run in Shreveport, Louisiana. I got through it in under 2 hours after stopping to use the restroom twice and also slowing to a walk for two to three minutes near the end. My calf muscles were done. My official pace ended up being 8 minute 30-something second miles, average. Like I said, i've never run track or anything. Without actively working on form (simply using running to burn calories and maintain around 8% body fat) and after running for about 7 months, I can now run fairly consistent 7 minute 50 second miles for an hour, fastest mile in the mid 7's and 5k in the 24 minute range according to the Garmin. I just watched your video with a few tips for better running technique and i'm going to give some of that a shot. Thanks man. Keep running

Terell Ray Basically it's 4 people running a lap. There's two curves and two straights. The first leg starts where the 400m race starts and the runners hold a baton while they run. You pass the baton to the next teammate and once it's passed on you're done. You also have to stay in your lane in order to not impede anyone else.

Yo Rashaad I’m a sprinter at my school I have really bad shin splints, ankle pains and like... pain on the right side on my right leg that I don’t even know how to explain. It’s been a mouth with this pain and it only gets worse when I run, I have a meet next week and I don’t know if I should run. I have 100m dash and a 200m dash, is it ok for me to spirit in this pain? It only slows me down... I’m planning to go on a run for the rest of the week I don’t know if trying to work out/run is ok because it has already been 3 days with me not doing any sort of physical activity and I feel extremely out of shape...

I suggest getting some new running shoes to start. Make sure they are not too small. Get your shoe size measured. Beside that, I can’t really give you any medical advice since I’m not a doctor. Shin splints are common. I had them before. They randomly went away.

When I get ready to run a marathon I don't really do a lot of running, I do a lot of push ups and lift high reps of light weights. I do a lot of walking and drink lots of water. I don't eat before I do long distances. I like to chew gum when I run. I run 26 miles just like I would run a cross country race.

An injury and being hurt are two different things. An injury is something where a doctor tells you you cant run because you'll cause further damage (like a broken leg). Being hurt is where you can force yourself to run but run the risk of being injured (running on a sprained ankle because your ankle feels fine once you start running). "Injuries" don't just disappear in a few weeks, which tells me you were just hurt. But I do congratulate you on completing the marathon under such conditions!

Occult nah I'd count a sprained ankle as an injury. Same with tendinitis, shin splints etc
@user-kd4mi8xb7p
@user-kd4mi8xb7p 6 жыл бұрын
Sorry, let me change my definition. Being hurt means “having a sensation of pain, physically or mentally” while “injured” implies “to cause or do any kind of harm, such as a tear, severe sprain, etc.” It all depends on the serverity, but in Rashaad's case, he claimed to be able to run 1 hour runs at a decent pace after a few weeks off. Sounds to me that he was hurt and not injured.
