Will you be picking up a fun short travel bike or keeping the enduro to smash everything?
@renelopez7325Күн бұрын
I appreciate this video as I'm in a similar situation, I've always been on a bicycle but got into MTB during COVID and absolutely fell in love with it. I did get a bit caught up in continually wanting to upgrade to either a nicer frame, higher end components, even gear. In the end I realized that 1) I'm not a professional and 2) it can take the fun out of things because instead of just riding to enjoy, I was always looking for something wrong with the bike. Now I'm just riding as much as I can and only replacing items if they can no longer be serviced or successfully repaired.

Nice! I was loosely trying to replicate 5010 vibes with this bike, but nothing can beat a real Santa Cruz lol

@@MEvsMTBI love my Santa Cruz 5010 v2. Even on resort blue flow trails it is super fun. Anything over 140mm seems boring to me now.

Good Channel! I went from a HC hard tail right to my GG Gnarvana. It's a great bike and I'll never sell it but now I'm looking for a lighter trail/AM frame in the 140r/150f range.

Love the Gnarvana/Megatrail! Definitely wished the short travel bike had 140/150 sometimes. That the sweet spot

bruh, i also have a GG (megatrail) but one of my bikes is the wee bitty Spot Ryve - 115 in the rear. im not doing any huge doubles or big drops, but it's way more fun that some might expect. out of all the bikes that are in that 115/120 travel range, most conjure up thoughts of the SB115 or the Transition spur.. maybe the Blur. this Ryve blows them all away, it's even more fun than the izzo (130) trouble is, i gotta have a bike for every condtion and now i just got a DJ, so i have a tough time choosing what bike to ride - first world problems HAHA
@MEvsMTB Жыл бұрын
Hahaha first world problems indeed. Haven’t heard of the Ryve. I’ll have to check it out !

I'm needing to try some of the new fandangle mtn bike pants instead of shorts. What are the brown pants you are wearing? jersey?
@MEvsMTB Жыл бұрын
The brown pants Im wearing are actually Kuhl casual/hike pants. But I usually wear Specialized Demo pants. They're my favorite. For riding tees, I usually wear Loose Riders gear. I have a Helfare jersey as well. Hope that helps!

I'm a nub so I don't really understand the difference in capabilitites. Is it just the length of travel in the front suspension? Couldn't you put different forks up front on this bike then?? Either way, this thing looks sick now. Good job.
@MEvsMTB Жыл бұрын
You can add another fork and get more travel but it starts to change the geometry of the bike. So you can’t really overcome frame geometry by adding more parts.
