Love your setup! I've only been on KZbin for about 6 weeks now, and I've already learned a lot by "learning by doing" as far as audio & video improvement, but I truly appreciate your transparency to help us never peeps on here out by sharing your wisdom/experience. Who else thinks that is amazingly generous? Thanks again, am taking notes! Planning to improve, one video at a time!

VERY AWESOME VIDEO!!! I loved it!! It really helped me to get knowledge of what kind of equipment to use. I am just a beginner and a teenager. I also have an art channel, and I use one of those middle school locker shelf and an adjustable computer stand where I put my phone on. I use that as my overhead camera. So, I just wanted to let you were an inspiration to me, which forced me to do something else during these hard times, Again, I thank you and hope you become more successful in the future.......wait....you already are!! If any one is looking for a really cheap option you can use soup cans. My mom cleans out soup cans sometimes to use for crafts and stuff so I have a box of them in my art room. I just stack them up then use it to record with on my phone. It doesn’t give a compelte overhead look like a tripod would and it does film at angle but it’s a good starting point if your just starting out and not sure if you want to do speed paints and stuff yet. I plan on asking for a tripod for Christmas but at the moment this is a good option for me. And for lights I just use one of the bendable lamp lights. I bought one that clips onto my desk from target for like 5-7 bucks I think? Maybe 10? I’m not sure I got it about a year or two ago. It obviously doesn’t give as even as light as a ring light or professional lighting would but it’s a good cheap option to try This video was extremely helpful though thank you I’ll definitely look at some of the stuff you use in the future

I have an old lamp stand that I use as my camera mount. I duct tapped a small 12 inch tripod to it. ☺ The camera I have for it is an old $200 camera from 2014. And because I only have one room where live, i don't have the space for a drawing desk in addition to my computer desk. So I cut up a 2.5 foot by 1.5 foot old box as my drawing desk and I position it's edge to rest between the edges of my bed and my computer desk. 😜 I also don't yet have the money for Adobe Premiere, so I use windows movie maker. My hope is that in just a few years, I'll be able to get all the neat stuff in this video. But for now, I'm making it work. ☺

Looking to build my rig up and looking at a few sources but always appreciate the artists I've been following for a while doing an equipment run down, as those other channels are more vlog focused. Really like the wall mount but wondering the upper limit to the camera weight, especially on a boom arm. Do you know if he set at least one side into a stud or it is just drywall screws? A camera heavy enough actually needs a counter weight rig and those can be cost prohibitive and take a stupid amount of space. I have a camera for outdoor filming that is good quality but very heavy, too much for a boom or drywall anchoring, so it's filming on my rinky-dink phone that has a whopping 2 minutes of recording. Which follows I needed a streaming programs and recording directly on the computer. #suggestion. I believe you went over your drawing and processing software in another video and might want to cross reference that, at least in the text blurb. Clip style wire mics, like used in vlogs, aren't that expensive, start around $20.
