As long as you used a glue that kinda flexible once it dried it should work. Hard type glue will work too but will easily crack again after awhile.

There's a lot of reasons.. But try to check the simple one first...can it charge? If it can still charge... Look behind the power button there is actually a small button..(u have to dismantle the speaker like in the video) Sometimes it doesn't sits properly so when u press from outside it didn't switch on the speaker.
