Really appreciated the point to be gentle with yourself. As someone that hasn’t had trouble focussing for most of my life, I find myself more frustrated and angry when I find myself drifting off yet again. Thank you.

Yeah, I really think this is something I've started to do more and more as the years pass. Hope it's helpful.

"I'm not a paramedic" !!! Love that. Long ago, I got hoodwinked into this idea that all our kids needed phones because of "safety." Dang, that was probably the most dangerous decision we made. These phones are danger machines, in that they rob us of quality, deep-focused pursuits. The tip about notebooks is excellent. I keep a big one like you show, so I can lay it flat. And I keep a pocket one that's about the size of a phone. That way I can go out into the world without a phone and still capture ideas. Naked attention! some might call it. But it's the way the world used to be. Great info here. Much thanks. I came into this via your newsletter, which I have no idea when/where I subscribed. Really good resources and contemplations. Much appreciated. I have not watched the video about starting (I might). . . but I once read a book on this topic by Guy Kawasaki. It's really good. It's called The Art of the Start.

Haha, I'm glad I put the paramedic line in. I actually have a whole other video about notebooks, my system's pretty similar to yours - naked attention is a good way to put it. Thanks for the Kawasaki rec, I will check it out!
